I love the concept of Link’s character so much I drew 72 frames about him coming to terms with his shitty destiny with the help of his former selves, and I regret nothing :V I started this back in august 2017 but only got about halfway before I got distracted, so there’s some jarring style changes at times but at least it only looks better the further you get. Hope you guys like it, I love this song with the triforce trios and it was really fun to make! (I tried to put this on youtube btw but it got taken down within minutes so the tumblr player will have to do)

I had a dream where a girl had this like, big horrifying bone creature on a leash, like it looked like something out of Dark Souls

And another lady was like “Oh my, what breed is he?”

And she was like “Eldritch!”

And then the bone creature took out a coin from a socket on his forehead and held it up to the other woman and said “Tell me your name”

And the girl walking him was like “No, down boy, don’t”

And the other woman went “Susanna” and then a bunch of smoke started billowing out of her eyes and ears and the coin flew up and started burning into Susanna’s forehead

And the girl walking her was like “I’m so sorry, he’s not usually like this! What’s gotten into you today!?”

And Susanna was like “Oh it’s fine he’s adorable” while she started rapidly aging and the bone creature was starting to grow muscle and skin

And then I woke up

Confession: This blog was actually meant to be an art blog… but this is the first thing I share.

SO, I went to see “The Greatest Showman”, which was just released here in Spain, and I’m not the same person. Something inside me died there in the seat, came back to life, died again, and came back. It was amazing, the choreography, the actors, the music… oh my God the MUSIC PEOPLE! THE MUSIC! It was absolutely amazing, all of it. And, seriously, Zendaya and Zack? Everythin about their story screamed LADY-FREAKING-NOIR to my face, so I couldn’t help it, I had to draw just THAT scene, listening to THAT song. I’m not sorry. This actually had like 3 more panels, but I haven’t done them yet… so, maybe I will keep sharing things of this AU? I don’t know.

Hi, yes, I’ve seen the trailer for this and Snow White is still designed to be very cute, in spite of what is written above. Keep in mind this is a movie by a South Korean studio, in a country where ideals about beauty standards are EXTREMELY skewed in favor of skinny, light skinned, big eyed women, so much so that plastic surgery is a norm for young women who want to get jobs. Also I’m 90% sure that whatever that tagline might have meant originally was lost in translation. I have not had a chance to see this movie, but the story of it is described as being about the princess’s journey of discovering how to love herself and her body, so I’m still willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. 

In the end the problem here is about the cultural clash of marketing ideas, story subtext that works better in a society with more dystopian-level ideas of what constitutes beauty, so therefore a moral that got lost in marketing and translated wrong.
