#SayHerName: A Vigil in Remembrance of Black Women and Girls Killed by the Police. Although Black women are killed, raped and beaten by the police, their experiences are rarely foregrounded in our popular understanding of racialized state violence.

The world of sex positivity and sex education is too often dominated by white voices writing from white perspectives, yet there are so many Black and POC experts out there working hard on behalf of sexual health, freedom, and rights. Some of them specialize in teaching at the intersections of sexuality, sexual identity/orientation, and race, addressing specific needs within communities of color. Others speak to a multiracial audience, focusing their niche on certain areas of sexuality while bringing their point of view as a sexual person of color into their work.

Either way, theirs are voices that need to be heard and centered. We’re sharing with you a dozen acclaimed Black sex educators and leaders in the sex-positive movement, whose work excites and inspires us. Check them out, follow them on social media, buy their books, watch their shows, and share them with your own circles to spread the word!

why is it that when people have like 3a curls it’s cute if they do a wash n go on the regs but if a girl like me with 4c hair does that its “oh, you need to do something with your hair” ???

For reference:

3a:

4c:

Not enough of y'all are rebloging 👀

Is loving both the wrong reaction?

Loving both is valid

4c girls just don’t get enough love

4c girls have.,.,.,. Whole Clouds just chilling on their head imagine being that cute

You DON’T need to do anything with your hair. Your hair is BEAUTIFUL .

BRING BACK THE AFRO EVERYONE

I’m a 3b/3c and I am obsessed with the 4b/4c curl pattern. And I agree. It does NOT get enough love.

SN: You don’t have to do anything with ur hair. It’s fucking gorgeous. Period.
