Made this exact post on reddit but have a much bigger reach here so I’ll just repost it.
The crowds at Pierce The Veil concerts have got to get safer.
I’ve been talking to people who’ve been to PTV concerts in the last few months and we’ve all had very similar experiences of the crowds being shockingly dangerous.
I’ve been in the pit of much heavier bands. Slipknot, Sepultura, Trivium, you name it. And yet I have never experienced a crowd as uncontrolled and wild as I did when I saw PTV at the Wiltern in LA last October.
The pushing was absolutely insane and honestly very dangerous. It was incredibly compacted, to the point where people were passing out left and right and STAYING UPRIGHT because of how compacted the crowd was. People were getting trampled well within sight of the band and not once did they stop the show and direct the crowd. Security was doing their absolute best but there was nothing they could do, the crowd was completely uncontrollable. It was so dense that they couldn’t even reach the people who needed medical attention. Some people had to get lifted out via crowdsurfing. That is not normal.
Everyone was pushing extremely hard and many people were struggling to breathe. My friend had their sweater ripped off them and they were WEARING IT. The people at the barricades were being crushed against it and leaped over them not even to get closer to the band, but to escape the crowd crush. I’ve literally moshed at a Slipknot concert and felt safer than at the PTV show I went to.

I’m honestly shocked no one has gotten seriously injured yet. PTV has got to take some sort of action for the wellbeing of their fans. Start booking bigger venues or selling less pit tickets or SOMETHING. It’s getting very very dangerous and it’s becoming a pattern.
