I love you because from the moment I’ve looked into your eyes I’ve seen my future. I’ve seen somewhere I can be safe. Somewhere that I could call home. Because I gave you my heart and I’m learning and you’re learning and you may have bruised it and hurt it a little along the way but you learn from your mistakes and it takes time, and we’ve learned to grow from that and grow with each other. I love you because I see something in you that gives me a purpose. Something that tells me this was the reason you were put here. I’ve never felt like something’s been more meant to be, like a gravitational pull towards each other. I’ve never met someone who thinks and wants to learn like I do. I truly believe like you are my soulmate, like god put us on earth for each other. and that’s not even the icing on the cake to why I love you.

Relationship goals right here. The love between Jim and Melinda is beautiful. And it feels more real than most tv series love. They’re quirky, understanding, and head over heels for each other. They are there for each other and support one another. He completely accepts her and puts up with here strange life and past. She dotes over him and trust him with her darkest corners. I hope to one day find a love like this. If you don’t know who they are, all you need to do is watch one episode, you’ll see what I’m talking about instantly.
ghost whisperer is such a ridiculous show and melinda is such a ridiculous protagonist like are the people in the town just like “oh yeah that’s melinda gordon. she talks to herself sometimes and likes to stand in the middle of road while there’s traffic. her husband died a while ago but then a few days later a new guy was living with her and she kept calling him by her dead husband’s name. sometimes she finds dead bodies and randomly goes into people’s houses.”
Somewhere theres an alternate universe where Ghost Whisperer had 15 seasons.

melinda gordon is a goddamn icon and i will tolerate no ghost whisperer slander in my life (or afterlife), ever. in spite of every awful thing she faced in her youth (and even later as an adult), she grew up to be brave, loving, kind, and utterly devoted to her calling no matter what anyone else thought of her or her gift. she showed me that pain and suffering didn't have to harden my heart or make me jaded to the world around me. she showed me that it's alright to feel the things that hurt you deeply but that it's also possible to heal and create a life full of wonder and hope and love. she showed me that being a hero isn't always about jumping headfirst into dangerous situations (though granted, she did do a lot of that herself 👀). it's also about the little things. the quiet kindnesses. being a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. being there, at the right time, for the right person. being a person who cares and isn't afraid to show it. and so far my yearly rewatch of the show has been the best thing that's happened to me all quarantine, so. yeah. here i am rambling about ghost whisperer at 4am with no regrets or hesitation.
anyways, jim clancy is the best man ever and no i will not be taking any criticism on that, thank you and good night. :)
