As someone who wants to get into animation, what's the best tip you have
Be willing to learn, be able to take and build off criticism and try to be as versatile as possible when it comes to art style and job ability. Also, don’t stop trying. Just because the first try doesn’t work out doesn’t mean you should just give up. Gotta pick yourself up and go at it again.

Yeah but I really haven’t had anything to do with the fandom for a long time. And with my own personal experiences in the fandom as well as a lot of the shady crap the studio has done, I’m sad I’m not more excited. I won’t be buying it.

Honestly… backgrounds are the bane of my existence. I HATE doing backgrounds. Everytime someone asks me to do a background, I cry a little. I also have to absolutely take my time with backgrounds because I also get overwhelmed and impatient and I hate them so much.

Even if we haven't talked in 4 years, I never stopped thinking about you and I still time and time check your page to see how are you. Every time when there's new helluva boss episode, I check the ending credits to see your name there. I feel so proud about what you became. I always hoped that you'll start to work in a field where you can draw because you were always so good with that. I still love you deebly and I cherish our time together close to my heart. You are one of the best people i know and every time i see your name in the end credits i hope that your name stays there.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! It’s seriously crazy how things have changed over the years. I still remember just hanging out in my tiny apartment and drawing on an old Gen 1 iPad just because. I feel so fulfilled being where I’m at right now.

Sometime. I’ve been busy with a lot of show stuff lately so it’s mainly just finding the time to do it. I may be making separate posters for Nifty and KeeKee (the cat)

Hi I seen your work so many times and I was amazed at your artwork. I would like to ask you on how you tried to find a job for the first time without any experience? That question kept bugging me for a long time 😃
Honestly, I just went for it. I created a portfolio on things I’ve done. Luckily I had done a few different animatic projects before I applied so adding those in helped. I saw that Helluva Boss was hiring and after a lot of anxiety and deliberation, I applied. I was so happy to get word back and get a test and later told I was hired to be a storyboard revisionist. Sometimes it just takes a leap of faith and you never know what could happen.

As someone who wants to go into animation, how do you start? I don't know what I need or what to use, I'm scared I'm not going to be good at drawing people or whatever I'm drawing. I want to draw motion but I love backgrounds.
Well I think it’s very important to go into basics. And honestly, being able to do backgrounds is AMAZING! I hate doing backgrounds and background artists are always in demand. With motion, I try to mentally break it down. Each frame is a still image. Animation is a bunch of still images going into slightly different positions back to back. That idea makes something really big and intimidating look smaller and more doable for me. Work on storyboarding and build from there.
Hello, I wanted to ask you something, Do you ever look back on your Gravity Falls works? I know the show ended years ago.
Yeah I look back sometimes. Wouldn’t be where I’m at without all that work.
