Tw blood (alien blood)

"Welcome home lil pup" is a non-canonical sidestory I did from my bro's @himbo-in-limbo yautja raian x reader story, but focuses into a father-daughter relationship between yautja! Ohma and Ane (has more fluff but still containing the gruesome bloody fights cuz...kengan and predators lol)

Bid'ha Leader Sriith

Hailing from the Northern Rivers of the Datlokh valley, Sriith is the youngest of the 3 Datlokh Clan Leaders.

Recently ascended after the death of the previous Bid'ha leader, Sriith gained his position thru a ritual feat of prowess where he outclassed other yautja, even more experienced ones. Prior to his ascension, he earned some respect as a successful Big Game Hunter (much like Ahisde, who he looks up to, though nowhere near as celebrated as Ahisde is), specializing in using beasts to aid in hunting. This includes not only the use of companion animals, but having a deep enough understanding of animal behaviors to exploit and manipulate them in the field. This has taught him patience, observation, strategy, and a certain level of "diplomacy" and teamwork. A useful arsenal for a Datlokh leader, in addition to decent physical ability.

As a leader he's "tough but fair," though his youth and an unspoken desire to prove himself sometimes leans him more towards "tough." Not too unreasonably though. Even if he seems more approachable than the other 2 leaders, he will not give away things for free.

Still has that very Bid'ha type of "vanity."

(The second designed Datlokh leader, after @isei-bleeds did Kirileg, the Ki'dto leader. Super sketchy, but you get the gist!)

Order your favorite predator movie from most to least, you can include AvP movies 👀

YEAH let's do this!

1) Alien Vs Predator (2004)
[I've been watching this movie since I was 4 years old! It has a special place in my heart] Lex is SO COOL I LOVE HER!!! ♥️♥️♥️
2) Predator (1987)
[I love watching this movie in the background while I'm doing chores or something since I've watched it So. many. times.] A timeless classic.
3) Alien vs Predator Requiem (2007)
[this movie has many many errors that make it hard to enjoy but it gave me my ultimate love and an amazing design of a yautja + Xceno hybrid!] Wolf was the best part of this whole movie ♥️.
4) Prey (2022)
[as much as I hate the design change of the "prehistoric yautja" or whatever he's classified as I LOVE the protagonist Naru!!! She is perfect in every way!! What a legend!!]
5) Predators (2010)
[ya know I used to hate this movie with a passion, but after watching The Predator (2018) I realized quickly I was to hard on the concept this movie was trying to show me so yeah! It's my top five now!] That's how bad 2018 was...
6) Predator 2 (1990)
[a beautiful and proper sequel to the 1987 movie! Not a direct sequel of course but it had an amazing story to tell nonetheless! Tbh it's a movie I rarely rewatch but I still enjoy it! It's the most diverse yautja cast we've had so far if I recall?]
7)The Predator (2018).....
[.......I hate this movie so much....they killed the ONE GOOD THING about this movie so damn early and fast....what was the point....oh don't get me started on the human cast...I personally found them to be so annoying....] Except the kid he was cool.
But yeah that's my two cents on all of this!

I hope no one takes personally the post/PSA about the clan (Dakh, Bid'ha, Ki'dto, Koroth'ul) worldbuilding/characters being closed. Like Isei said, we're still constantly figuring stuff out about them and writing, and it gets a little awkward when someone tries to add on when they don't know the full picture. None of it is really open RP and it's probably gonna be that way for the foreseeable future.

Really appreciate and am flattered by the interest and kindness people have shown towards our art and ideas, though. And like she said, you are free to ask questions or approach us about them! Asking first is always just a nice courtesy. I love sharing stuff with you all and letting you see the stories and ideas we come up with, and it's so fun seeing your thoughts and reactions in any case.

It is true that Isei and I are more comfortable making things together bc we have known each other for a while, online and irl, and kind of understand how we click and what our style and intentions are. I'm otherwise a pretty solo writer/creator, so if I'm making stuff with someone, it will largely be her. That doesn't mean it's gonna be like that with *everything*, but in very large part, yes, especially with the yautja.

Hope people understand and don't think we're trying to be mean or snobby! I'm just a very awkward bean playing in the corner of the sandbox with my friend. Let's all just keep having fun!

Code Red!

Masurao, now a recent mother, is still on treatment on the Normandy with @crispy-ghee ‘s crew, and while everyone is instructed to give mom and pup a WIDE berth, people tend to believe there’s more wiggle room than there really is. When Baran-de squirms out of mom’s sight and gets into things he shouldn’t, a crewmember yanks the pup away, causing him to cry out in pain. Maternal instincts kick in HARD and Masurao goes on a rampage in the ship to get her pup back, targeting anyone she sees as a threat.

With Jagged-Tooth away on a job, Cousin steps up to handle the situation in lieu of his son. Centuries of experience makes him the best suited, but a dangerous female is still a dangerous female. The best he can probably hope for is to distract her and tire her out. But it’s that or risk her killing more crewmembers or destroying the ship. He’s a strong old warrior, though, he’ll probably survive.

Has any Yautja come to love a human?

Canonically speaking? Uh....it hasn't outright happened like we haven't gotten a straight up love confession or anything of a yautja and a human hooking up...(yet)

  • First off I want to state what IS canon about how yautjas view humans in general.
  • A majority think of us as cattle, and most likely VERY appalling.
  • They have stated that we are "soft meat" and compared to the tanks that they naturally are? Yeah we are :')
  • It's important to them to breed with the STRONGEST And most oomans will find it hard to impress a yautja without being in a near death situation 💀 and somehow survive said encounter
  • Also the fact that I think it's impossible to even crossbreed with a yautja so....
  • 1 not being nearly as physically capable as them and 2 not being able to ensure a bloodline with them (that would be accepted in yautja society) ???
  • Again the odds of hooking up with a yautja are SLIM I'm talking 🤏 but in HALF
  • But of course we all knew that.

I guess the prime example of a yautja and a human even having CHEMISTRY was very much in Alien Vs Predator (2004)

  • I don't wanna go into too much detail since I recall their being a post about them somewhere on Tumblr
  • BUT the way they simply interacted with each other was just!!! Sus!!!
  • Sadly this movies script was cut VERY short due to the filming deadline the crew had and what we lost was some very cute Scar and Lex interactions!
  • Again I'm sure you can find an article about what the interactions were (bc I can't remember) but I remember them being a tad bit more intimate!
  • Even just the way they were staring at each other in this scene like yeah! Lex had proven herself to be a great warrior! But come on!
  • She earned his respect and he gave her an honorary marking! (If that ain't romantic idk what is)
  • But yeah again Scar being actively in love with Lex has never been stated as being canon I think? (God I hope I'm wrong)
  • They weren't even the first to have such a chemistry! The OG ship is of Machiko Nagochi and Broken Tusk!
  • Another instance of a human female proving herself to be a great warrior and a yautja marking her because she has earned his respect!
  • If you haven't read the original alien vs predator comics I highly recommend them!
  • I don't want to spoil anything regarding that epic story 🥺♥️
  • But yes that is all that I have on this topic
  • Everything else is just more speculation and fan canons!
  • I do love that Yautjas are simply just a natural threat to humans and id prefer them to stay that way!
  • I love that a majority of them would simply ignore humans and have little care for them unless proven otherwise! It makes earning the respect of one a big deal!

My horny ass could NOT be the sole mechanic for a mech, alone in the repair bay, talking to the mech's AI core, discussing the harsh reality of the war we've found ourselves in. Me discussing my mortality, the 50ft entity I've spent the last several years learning the intricacies of and is fully aware of the fact that as a tool of war it'll either die in battle or end up abandoned as it's systems all fail until emergency back-up power keeps it awake for possibly thousands of years. We talk about how neither of us has felt a connection between ourselves and anything else worth dying for like that, except maybe... Well, the rest of the base has almost certainly gone to sleep by now. The cockpit clicks shut with a soft "click" and I. I mean uh, I forgot where I was going with this.

Apparently I've struck a chord with the giant robot fucker fandom

You expected NOT to???

I can’t stop thinking about crocodiles for some reason so here’s some cool pictures I found of probably the second largest one in captivity, his name is Utan:

isn’t he beautiful

listen to the SOUND when he bites

and that’s not even a real power bite, that’s mostly just heavy bone falling on heavy bone from his jaws and the air rushing out from between them

2000 pounds of Good Boy

you get me

I honestly expected like 5 notes, what HAPPENED here

More tags on this ridiculous post:

Wait, thats the 2nd biggest crocodile? Then what does the biggest one look like?

That would be Cassius, a very old Saltwater crocodile who is estimated to be around 114 years old and lives at Marineland Melanesia in Green Island, Australia.  His official measurement is 5.48 meters, which makes him the largest in captivity currently.  Because Utan is only slightly smaller and much younger, (only in his 50s), he will likely break Cassius’ record eventually.  But for now, Cassius holds the title:

He is NOT, however, either the largest crocodile ever captured in Australia OR the largest ever in captivity.

A slightly larger crocodile has been reported (though not yet comfirmed) to have been captured at 5.58 meters.

And while the famous Brutus of the Adelaide River was estimated to be just slightly larger than Cassius at 5.5m, he was driven out of his territory by a younger and even larger crocodile, who as a result has been given the name, The Dominator.  He is estimated to be just over 6m.

This is Brutus, with an appropriate caption:

It is believed that he lost that arm in a fight with a Bull Shark.

The Bull Shark lost.

THIS is the crocodile who kicked him out.  The Dominator:

Image

And that’s STILL not the biggest.

The largest living crocodile ever reliably measured was Lolong, who for the 1.5 years between his capture and his death was the largest crocodile ever held in captivity, at a whopping 6.17 meters (20 feet 3 inches) and 1075 kg (2,370 lbs).  He had been feeding on both humans and very large livestock in the Bunawan creek in Agusan del Sur in the Philippines.  It took 100 people all night to drag him to shore during his capture.

And here’s why:

Also, to prevent credit from getting buried on a separate reblog, I have been informed that the above image of the crocodile with the cartoon eyes and halo was made by @rashkah!  (And it is wonderful and I would like to thank him for its existence, because it perfectly captures my feelings about terrifying giant primordial reptiles.)

I remember watching a documentary or something on Lolong and watched them move that giant SOB by hand while he thrashed over a rickity bridge.

5) Greyback Predator! He had a very short scene BUT! His lore and presence are so cool! Also wicked character design! 😍

River/Northern Bid'ha (another of @crispy-ghee's tribes!)

The Bid'ha are one of the largest tribes in the Datlokh. Their territory cuts through the entire valley, across the mountains, and into the coastal of the valley's end. Deeper into the valley, where the rivers and lakes pool, the Northern Bid'ha have developed more distinct, thicker set of scutes not unlike crocodilians, to help against the rocks when the rapid and tides of water bash against them. Their southern, more sea-faring cousins, have smoother skin, or their scutes are less defined.

All in all, both river and coastal Bid'ha are ethnocentrically the same. They are physically defined by smoother, downward cruve slants of their crests, long tresses (which they protect in elaborate knots/braids and even netting), and smaller tusks.

The Ki'dto swamps and Bid'ha river territories do overlap, which has been a point of tension for generations before the Unification. They may, occasionally, cross-breed.

One of Kirileg's last mates was a Bid'ha. He did not survive.

Yautja's Hair

Somewhat headcanon

So we know the dreadlocks have a purpose and that they bleed.

I think yautja hair length can vary, we mainly have seen yautjas have hair to their shoulders. And I saw someone say that they grow until cut (which, ow), and I saw another one say that they don't grow back.

Which I think they do grow back, at a certain age. So youngbloods get their hair cut short to show their age/rank, then after some time the dreadlocks would start to grow back. But then what about an adult yautja getting their hair cut/damaged. Well, good luck. It could vary for each yautja if their hair grows back or not, and if it does probably very slowly.

Yautjas don't like short hair, it's seen as ugly. A yautja with longer hair is much more accepted and praised. (I can see getting their hair cut as punishment. If they did something unacceptable then the dreadlocks get cut.)

Also sense the dreadlocks of a yautja are sensitive, imagine the pain of putting on those rings that they have.

Ow

It would be very disrespectful to take one of those rings out (and painful). And just touching their hair randomly without permission could be disrespectful as well.
