one of my new hobbies is finding a cool album, listening to the album while making a j-card for that album, and then ripping the audio and recording it to a cassette and make a lil bootleg. you gotta propagate this kind of stuff, it's the only way.
there is a bulletin board on the pedestrian mall in my neighbourhood. i often stop by and read the postings, and think about the postings, and sometimes put up my own things. there is fierce competition for space, though it is a true town hall in the sense that all community members, for a moment, can have their message on top.
anyways, i made a ~60 minute spooky sfx cassette. it's a mash-up of a bunch of tapes and records, truly frightening at times but also features bubbling, frogs, "space sounds" etc. so it's not all scary. i made a short run of bright orange tapes (will have these at vancaf) and have put the recording on archive.org, you can find a link to that here:
