What are EXTREME SANCTIONS you ask...well, they are extreme in nature as the name implies. EXTREME SANCTIONS also appertain to the first week after Season 2 is available. Please utilize the hashtag #GOS2Spoilers, so that others can mute the tag to avoid spoilers. We do hope you continue to enjoy anointed communications from the sanctioned Good Omens social team, and enjoy the reveal of The Almighty’s second ineffable plan on July 28th.

Gentle reminder that very little fandom labor is automated, because I think people forget that a lot.
That blog with a tagging system you love? A person curates those tags by hand.
That rec blog with a great organization scheme and pretty graphics? Someone designed and implemented that organization scheme and made those graphics.
That network that posts a cool variety of stuff? People track down all that variety and queue it by hand, and other people made all the individual pieces.
That post with umpteen links to helpful resources, and information about them? Someone gathered those links, researched the sources, wrote up the information about them.
That graphic about fandom statistics? Someone compiled those statistics, analyzed them, organized them, figured out a useful way to convey the information to others, and made the post.
That event that you think looks neat? Someone wrote the rules, created the blogs and Discords, designed the graphics, did their best to promo the event so it'd succeed.
None of this was done automatically. None of it just appears whole out of the internet ether.
I think everyone realizes that fic writing and fanart creation are work, and at least some folks have got it through their heads that gif creation and graphics and moodboards take effort, and meta is usually respected for the effort that goes into it, at least as far as I've seen, but I feel like a lot of people don't really get how much labor goes into curation, too.
If people are creating resources, curating content, organizing the creations of others, gathering information, and doing other fandom activities that aren't necessarily the direct action of creation, they're doing a lot of fandom labor, and it's often largely unrecognized.
Celebrate fan work!
To folks doing this kind of labor: I see you, and I thank you. You are the backbones of our fandoms and I love you.
the council has conferred and it has been decided that the most painful ages to happen to a person are 12, 17, 19, and 23
i'm not really a hater so much as a disliker. occasionally the fires of hate burn within me but mostly i just encounter things and go hm. don't like that.
tumblr staff says that if we don't buy $17,000 in crabs by 10 p.m. the whole website is going to be shut down by hotel management and all the guests are going to have to go home
Ok since my sky lore summary reblog is getting a kick in notes, I decided to redo it since I feel like I haven't been that clear in it.
So if you're still new, you read my reblog and you're still a bit confuse, here's a revamp version of it. It's pretty long, so I suggest you sit somewhere comfy, get a snack and put on some calm music.
okay but the sheer fucking glee on the face of the person taking this photo is the best part about this
"why can't they just be friends-"
Because for centuries queers have had to live in the margins and the subtext and it's all we had, and now that we don't have to keep it secret anymore, you can shut your fucking mouth and just happily watch your canon hetty couple get together for the millionth time.
Straight cis characters will always outnumber queer ones, 1000 to 1, so shut the fuck up about subtext and leave the queer portion of the fandom alone.
Go sob about how Bella and Edward are made for each other and leave Charlie Carlisle fans alone.
