Apparently she was doing really well and was quite happily sitting in the hallway after calming down (he came over to our house) and he approached her and started petting her but according to my dad he’s a little enthusiastic with her and she turned around and snapped at him. She broke the skin but drew no blood thankfully. Friend was okay with it but it makes me upset knowing that these things happen and I have no way to monitor it when I’m out of the house. Especially annoyed because I work so hard with her to get her to tolerate people and she starts improving then someone messes it up because they don’t listen to our requests.

On the plus side, dads other friend is super chill with her and although he really wants to be her friend he gives her the space she needs and admires her without having to touch her. Hopefully she’ll grow to trust that one because he’s a super cool guy

Bear growls at everyone he meets that’s not part of the family. First time he met my bf he bit him. Akitas are loyal. They’re lovable. People just need to back the f*ck off. It makes me so mad because Akitas are beautiful but they DESERVE RESPECT.
