I’m on episode 9, Season 2 of The Bear. I don’t care what ANYONE says. When it comes to Sidney & Carmy… I’m shipping it. I don’t need it to be romantic. But because of their work relationship, there’s already a level of intimacy there.

When this man is freaking out and thinking of his girlfriend, thinking of SIDNEY is what calms him. He is super aware of her and when there’s something wrong. From their argument and her ending it with their gesture, just for them both to apologize and him asking if they’re okay to the conversation under the table.

Carmy: You deserve my full focus. My attention shouldn’t be split. I understand.

He makes mistakes with her, but he’s quick to correct because she’s important to him.

And when she explains that she scared and the fact the he could do the restaurant without her.

Carmy: I couldn’t do this without you. I wouldn’t even want to do this without you. You make me better at this.

Sidney: You make me better at this.

BE FUCKING FOREAL! You think I’m not gonna ship it? And the way he looking down at her… okay .

Sidney: What if I f#%k up? Fail…?

Camry: I won’t let you…

In art, at a certain level, there is no ‘better than.’ It’s just about trying to operate for yourself on the most supreme level, artistically, that you can and hoping that people get it. Trusting that, just because of the way people are built and how interconnected we are, greatness will translate and symmetry will be recognised.

Challenges For Writers

You guys wanted some prompts and I thought this might give you some fun ideas. Some of these challenges can apply to every kind of writer, so I suggest skimming them all :)

Songwriters

  • Produce an album with each song touching on a different social issue
  • compose a movie score
  • write 1 song a month about the events in that time and visit those songs in a year
  • write a song about wherever you are right now
  • rewrite the lyrics of your favorite song
  • compose a new melody for your favorite song
  • write a song where the lyrics contradict the melody
  • make a mashup of completely different songs
