Everyone commenting on this says it’s Eugenics , but what the post said was financially prepared, not rich. As in if you’ve factored a child into your life and made the appropriate financial and life sacrifices it’s okay. Some poor people take better care of their children than wealthier people because they were willing and ready to put aside whatever it took to raise their child no matter what hardship they themselves will face, this actually incorporates both the mental and financial aspects of being ready to have a child. Whether you’re rich or poor, if you haven’t made a plan or set aside funds for your child it’s unfair to the child. Even if your preparation is making sure you’re on welfare, gathering food stamps and stocking up on free supplies, it’s enough to raise a child, just make sure you’ve prepared and are ready to do anything for that child.

The medical service provided by your local fire department or FD/municipal paramedic is free. Call us when something goes wrong, We will show up and evaluate you/provide care (stop the bleeding, splint the injury, administer epinephrine) free of charge, And then you can have a friend or uber transport you to the hospital (or sign AMA and just stay home if you don’t want to go to the hospital either.)

Also, in a large number of counties, there are public paramedics paid for by the taxpayers, so ALS transport is free. I’d advise researching your local system.

Please don’t avoid calling 911 for a medical emergency because you’re afraid of bills, you have the right to refuse transport which is where the bills occur.

I have to repeat, you will NOT be billed for medical services provided on scene by the fire department/paramedics, And you have the RIGHT to refuse transport even if not going to the hospital will kill you.

Getting a $50 bed frame that gets your mattress off the floor will extend the life of your mattress. You sweat when you are sleeping and it seeps into the mattress. A lot of it evaporates from the surface, but some goes down in deeper. Over the years you could end up with mildew and rot at the bottom of your mattress. God forbid you have carpet under it, that would need replacing too. If your mattress has air flow under it, it will evaporate from both sides instead of mildewing.

I don’t think anyone ever told me why you get a mattress frame, that makes so much sense.

Find the contact information for the department and tell them what’s happening. Make bureaucracy work for you! The government will contact your landlord and if they don’t comply they will be fined! The threat of losing money is a mighty motivator and they’ll most likely get their shit together within a day or two.

My ceiling was leaking for two weeks without me hearing anything from management besides “we’ll get to it”. Literally the DAY after I emailed the code enforcement department, management came by with a contractor to give me estimates on when my roof would be fixed. This shit works y’all
