Okay but my favorite thing was that Klaus would set a place for Ben at the table and pour him a coffee and pull his chair out and everything. And that he would sit in the back seat of cars so Ben could sit next to him. My heart that is so sweet.

Listen I love the umbrella academy but the only realistic sibling relationship in the whole show is Diego and Klaus’s. If you’re not constantly within two seconds of either having to defend your brother in a bar fight OR punching him in the nuts then you’re doing the whole thing wrong.

I JUST FINISHED THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY

and i have lots of thoughts but mostly: 

1. luther - hate him, would not recommend this asshole for anything

2. diego - he’s Cool, lots of sarcasm, very sardonic and witty, has the whole all-black vigilante vibe down but fucks up, like, a lot

3. allison - eh sometimes she’s ok but other times [saying “i hear a rumor” to vanya right when vanya probs needed her most] i thought she was a complete idiot and well………boring [yikes] however, her love for her daughter was sweet!!! um despite then using said power to force her daughter to do things and then forcing her husband to love her ???????????? [more yikes] oh and i could not care one iota for that Uncomfortable Thing between her & luther [even more yikes]

4. klaus - HE’S THE BEST very messed up, very sad, very confused and lost, but also self-sabatoging in a way i can relate, adorable, funny in a self-deprecating/”the world sucks but hey im here” kinda way, would defend him against All Bad Things

5. number five - honestly one of the best actors on the show??? he’s 15 IRL and pretending to be 58 in a 13 year old’s body, really smart and knows it, not exactly a time travelling expert but he’s working on it, is the only one who actually puts Any Effort Whatsoever into preventing the apocalypse

6. ben - he deserved better, constantly fed up with klaus’s bullshit but loves klaus anyway, famously asks “can we go home now?” after slicing apart baddies with his vicious blue tentacles

7. vanya - would die for her, would kill for her, would protect her with my last breath, “good for her” i say as she obliterates the earth, is a violin progete and deserves fucking ownership of that First Chair, seeks appropriate vengeance for all wrongs done to her, has that Supervillian Aesthetique very well in hand, needs at least 60 years of peaceful rest

i really like how diego hargreeves, the sibling with the most scars who throws sharp knives and sees blood everyday, is the one who fainted instantly from one single glance at a single needle 

Ben is such a sweetie because he died before his trauma could have a major effect on his personality

I think that one of my favorite little details of the show is the fact that Five kept changing Delores’ clothes during the apocalypse. My boy went out of the way to make sure his partner/mannequin had a fur hat and warm coat in the winter. Honestly, if that isn’t proof that they totally had relationship, nothing is. Also, Five is literally the sweetest and most caring, even if he doesn’t like to show it.

I just want ya’ll to know 5 asked Klaus if he was okay more times in 8 days than ANY of the other kids did in 17 years. (At least twice, Diego comes in second with once) That’s that on that.
