Built in 1923, Hotel del Salto lies beside the Tequendama waterfalls in Colombia. Once a grand hotel, it has been abandoned and left to deteriorate in the hot weather. The hotel was once bustling, most likely to the gorgeous scenery, and was in operation for 60 years. This spectacular building is also the scene of an abundance of reported paranormal occurrences. Tragically, it was the scene of a number of suicides over the years and is allegedly haunted by these lost souls. In 2013, much of the marred hotel was restored and the hotel now serves as a museum in biodiversity and culture.

Highgate Cemetery was a very popular cemetery in Victorian times, but since then it has deteriorated since it’s neglect due to WWII. The cemetery has since become a creepy and desolate place filled with dead trees and vines. Supposedly ghosts and apparitions call this place home, along with a vampire and a cloaked figure. It’s a favourite for fans of the paranormal and morbid and if you’re lucky enough, you may hear the bells ringing in the disused chapel. An organisation known as The Friends of Highgate Cemetery is in the process or restoring it.

My dad told me to write a Christmas letter to “ Santa” … The thing is, I don’t know what I want… can I ask my best friend to spend this time with me?

I guess I will ask him for a pet.
