  • Rowlet is very observant, so they quickly notice when you're not your usual self. Even if you don't talk about it, they're immediately on a mission to find out what's bothering their friend, going as far as to fly to people who are dear to you, to get them to help if needed. But if Rowlet believes that they can fix the problem themselves, they suddenly get very close to you - unusual for a rather stoic Pokémon who prefers to stay in the dark.
  • The Pokémon likes to crawl underneath your shirt when they sense that you're upset. You suddenly have a fluffy, soft featherball pressed against your tummy, with curious, kind eyes peeking out at the top of your shirt. Are you okay? You can give them pets or a hug, maybe that helps? Normally Rowlet isn't a fan of cuddles and the like, but they quickly understood that humans like them... so if you need them, they're happy to give them to you.
  • You know what makes Rowlet happy? Leaves, delicious berries, and dark places. Don't mind them going out for a fly, and returning with a bunch of gifts for you. Pretty leaves they found in the forest, delicious, sweet berries, maybe a nice rock too. Then, they gently pull on your clothes to get you to lay down with them. They want you to tightly wrap yourself in your blanket with them. Dark, cozy, safe.

  • Getting a Clefairy to trust you isn't an easy task, so once it shows affection towards you, you're basically part of the family. And they treat you like any other family member - they quickly figure out what's bothering you, and try their best to resolve the problem with you. Clefairy is very good at emotional support. They like to hold your hand while you make important phone calls, or gently pat your cheek when you're anxious.
  • You can expect lots of cuddles and care. Clefairy is very concerned about your wellbeing, so they bring you tissues, medication, food, water, anything that you might need. They also bring you the TV remote or a picture book, hoping a distraction will help you. Of course, they're also willing to leave you alone if you find them to be overbearing right now... but it upsets them when you're upset. They just want to help you! Pull the sadness right out of you! Maybe there's an attack for that...
  • Clefairy is great at distractions and lifting the mood, if it's not cuddles and affection that you need right now. They'll happily perform a little dance for you, sing and twirl until you can't help but laugh. They make funny faces, sounds, and dress up for you. Smile! You have a cute, rare friend on your side, and a Clefairy brings luck and happiness into your life!

Hey so fun fact! When watching Lillie's Sync pair story with Lunala, I noticed that Lillie says something interesting during it.

Lillie uses they/them pronouns for the alolan protag. The entirety of the conversation she refers to them with both gender neutral pronouns and gender neutral terms for them. Which I guess logically is because they, so far, have REFUSED to tell us who the canonical alolan protagonist is. But the even funnier in game explanation (which I heavily prefer) is that the alolan protag is nonbinary.

Nonbinary win.

Made this impressionist flower cake for my mother-in-law and couldn't help but sneak in a few Pokemon Snap references. How many can you spot? 😉

Honestly she's happy with whatever I make, but it was a fun excuse to play with buttercream!

Damn I loved this show so much as a kid.. so many memories.. :’) We 2000’s kids had the best childhood with shows like these 🙌😭💖

Finally on my Season 2 rewatch of Code Lyoko, and some thoughts.

Okay so I know some people weren’t fond of the whole plot line that Aelita actually is human and her father created Lyoko, but guys. The angst.

Here she is, thinking she’s not human. Learning human concepts like smell and touch. She’s a living, sentient being, wholly accepted by her friends. It’s an adjustment. It’s her normal.

Then she starts having flashbacks. What is this house, these wolves she’s never seen. A piano, so familiar. A man, even more so.

Like, the realization that she’s human, she’s been basically in a coma in a computer world for almost seven years (I think she went in in 1994 if I remember correctly.) She had a family, a life, that she can only just recall.

I love this plot line so much.

Also: Odd absolutely legit thinks of her as his cousin. And Kiwi may be ugly but he’s such a good boy.

(Also I know at one point Aelita says she’s going home, and she goes to Lyoko.)
