Feminism is gender equality, meaning it’s not just for women.

It’s the 21st century and men still can’t express their own emotions without being mocked.

Let’s change that.

Because this is apparently stick up for wolves day.

Wolf reintroduction in Yellowstone has changed the ecosystem *significantly*.

One remarkable thing that was not predicted that demonstrates how interlinked these things are:

Wolf eat elk.

Elk eat fewer willows.

Willows become healthier.

Number of beavers increase.

Number of songbirds increase.

Overall health of streams increases.

Number of fish increases.

Water table stabilizes.

This is called a “trophic cascade” and we normally see them as bad things. But a positive trophic cascade is an amazing thing, and apparently nobody predicted this one.

What they didn’t predict was that wolf predation would keep elk on the move so they wouldn’t overgraze a specific area.

When the elk overgrazed the willows, they removed the best source of food for beavers during the winter.

Once that stopped happening, the beaver population rebounded and it turns out beavers are pretty good for the entire ecosystem.

so I normally just read reviews on here instead of writing them but I just don’t understand why people hate on nam do san? Coming from a girl who’s currently majoring in CS, I can tell you for a fact that that’s literally what most kids (not all) in cs are like, he played his role very well!! I started this show cuz I have the biggest crush on nam joo hyuk but I just fell in love with his character. He had everything down to a tea including the small little shy nods, smiles, not being able to make eye contact and just the innocence of his words and actions. Nam joo hyuk deserves an award for this show, literally everytime he cried or was hurt or felt pain I could see it in his eyes and I felt it too, his acting is wonderful.

Furthermore, his insecurity clearly stems from the pressure his parents (like most parents in Asian households) put on him like that pressure is literally crippling? The pressure doesn’t always just come from oh you need to get good grades but just from the expectation that you will never make mistakes in life and you need to be perfect at all times because you can be perfect sometimes. I’ve felt like that most of my life and I’ve never related to a character more! I absolutely loved his character, probably one of my favourite characters of all time and I think this is one of the more relastic k-dramas I’ve watched.

Was there some stuff I could do without? Yeah. Was it sometimes dramatic? Yup. Was there a lot of unnecessary hair tying? You betcha. But it wouldn’t be a k-drama without these things.

Also how are people forgetting that he literally has the biggest heart? Everything he does, he does for the people he loves. Anyways that’s my two cents on the topic lmao.

Saw something where someone was stating reasons why people thought Dal Mi and Ji Pyeong were endgame, and I just wanted to clarify something:

Dal Mi never showed any romantic interest in Ji Pyeong.

The only time she got confused was finding out that Do San wasn’t the one who wrote the letters. And it didn’t even take long for her to realize that the real Do San was the man in her heart.

Of course the Do San from the letters means something to her because he helped her through a hard time in her life. And that can’t be erased or denied.

But she knows that she romantized him. She held on to a childhood crush that had no true substance (romantically) for her as an adult.

Dal Mi never had feelings for Ji Pyeong as himself, the man.

If she doesn’t have feelings, if she doesn’t feel that romantic connection, then there is no argument you can present that would actually succeed in justifying why Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi should be together.

If listing all the nice and sweet things he does for her and vise versa was enough to make two people perfect for each other, then that means we should all get together with every person who treats us especially well.

But no, that’s not how it works. A person could treat you like a Queen/King, could be willing to walk the Earth for you, but that doesn’t mean you have to love them romantically (or love them at all) and get together.

I’m not saying actions are not absolutely necessary in relationships, but they mean nothing more than kind acts without that inexplicable, uncontrollable connection.

A connection that cannot be forced or expected when presented with good treatment from just anyone. A connection that manifests itself only when you find the right person.

Ji Pyeong could literally lay down on the ground for Dal Mi to walk on his back to avoid stepping in mud, but she still wouldn’t love him (romantically).

Very likely she’d appreciate him and grow to think of him as someone meaningful in her life. But nothing short of being the the real, present day Do San would ever make Dal Mi love Ji Pyeong.

And that’s just the tea.
