Photograph of a specimen of a canna flower, ca.1920. Long, dry leaves cup around the stem at the bottom just below the blossom at center. The wide, circular petals are spotted and curl away from the lightly-colored pistol. Thin, pointed leaves cluster like spikes above the blossom at the top of the plant.
