Shoot, I can't think of a title. Will update soon.

@haunted-phantom-student

I'm new here, please don't judge my appearance, still trying figuring this thing out.

Forever haunted by the knowledge that if I was to attend the high school from Glee, I would still have been a loser like I was in real high school, but there I would have also been rejected by the Glee Club because I can't sing and/or dance. Like, if I were to audition for the school's designated loser club, I wouldn't get in. That's haunting.

Jesus would somebody please just see past my hardened exterior and teach me to trust in love despite a quick third-act misunderstanding that when resolved solidifies our relationship? I was told that if I just gave in to the bitterness someone would come love me anyway until I wasn't bitter anymore but I'm starting to think people just aren't attracted to bitterness even if it is hiding a soft interior. Is fanfiction lying about anything else do you guys think?

"the glee version was better" sounds like an inherently cringe thing to say but the thing is. There are several factors to consider. For example you could give Naya Rivera any song ever written and she'd do it better

I was like, ok, pause button. This sounds fake and designed to get me riled up.

No

It's fucking real

It was in February.

Update 3/14/2023: luckily it hasn't gotten past "introduced" but the fact it's even on the table??? Horrifying, really.

It was never about protecting the children or upward mobility via capitalism.

I am almost as terrified to discover that people think the Department of Education is in charge of public education, or that eliminating it would eliminate public schools in the United States. Public education is overwhelmingly managed at the state and local level. The US DoE provides funding, and can regulate education by providing conditional funding, but it does not have sole or executive authority over it.  Public schools would go on without the DoE, if they’d just have to do without federal aid.

The DoE serves a valuable function and I support it.

I'm going to regret getting political on main so, so much but

The bill doesn't suggest ending education or even ending public education. It suggests that the standards and methods of education should be decided on a much smaller level so that instead of the disastrous one-size-fits all approach mandated by the federal government, parents can decide for and with their own child the best environment for them to learn and then send them to the schools that best fit their learning style. That's all. They're saying abolish the *federal* education system because when services are provided on a federal level, they are by necessity fitted for the needs of the average, leaving out the needs of outliers such as children with learning disabilities, children on autism spectrum, or really any children who don't learn well by sitting in the average classroom at a desk taking notes from a PowerPoint.

You can oppose the bill. I don't even know if I'm for the bill. But can we please be honest about what the bill actually is?

finally….feminem

Yall know they do it only when some sin they committed is about to go public? With this announcement I have to ask what court case against them was opened.

In short Mars Inc. (owners of M&M's) candies contained dangerous levels of lead and cadmium

In case you’re panicking, it wasn’t the M&Ms. It’s actually another one of their brands, specifically Dove Promises Deeper Dark Chocolate 70% Cacao that was tested and found to contain high amounts of lead.

That’s not to say that other chocolate is safe, though. Four other brands, including Trader Joe’s, Hershey, Lindt, and Godiva are all being sued over heavy metal content in specifically their ultra-dark chocolates after a Consumer Reports investigation tested 28 dark chocolate bars and found that many of them had WAY over the legal limit per ounce. You can see the full list on the Consumer Reports website.

Time also published a great read on why foods contain heavy metals, and the short answer is: lead gasoline was only banned in 1996. Happy snacking!

So what I'm hearing is, milk chocolate is healthier and everyone who has ever lorded it over me that they prefer dark chocolate can suck it.

I feel like I would be so slutty if I wasn't asexual. Like it's not like I deny myself anything else I want ever. If I actually felt desire for sex like I feel desire for Starbucks refreshers, I would be having that at least twice a day too. The only reason I don't drink two brown sugar milk teas a day is that there's no milk tea place in my town. If I could I would drink brown sugar milk tea into an early grave. It's honestly kind of a tragedy for my community that I'm not out there wanting sex.

Just came up with an awesome idea for a party (every attendee is sent beforehand the name of another attendee by random selection, everyone comes costumed as their assigned person, nobody is allowed to say who they are, the goal of the night is for each person to find their costume self, no verbal hints but random details i.e. ordering their person's signature drink encouraged) but I have like one friend so if someone else could do that and let me know how it went that would be cool.
