Did You Know Tomatoes Hate Cucumbers? Secrets of Companion Planting
While they might taste great together in a salad, tomato plants actually dislike growing in close proximity to any member of the cucurbit family, which includes cucumbers.
Companion plants assist in the growth of others by attracting beneficial insects, repelling pests, or providing nutrients, shade, or support. They can be part of a biological pest control program.

How chronic illness works
At the start, you begin to establish your ‘new normal’ because you cannot function the same as you used to. This might mean a 4 on the pain scale on average, slight fatigue and stomach pain. You begin to figure out how to live life with these symptoms. You put heating packs on your joints and muscles sometimes and take some NSAIDS, you can still go to work or university full time but you feel like shit but somehow you manage to get most things done.
Then…
Things start to change
Your stomach pain turns into nausea and vomiting. Your pain increases to a 6, your fatigue becomes more debilitating. This is your new normal. You have to get used to this level everyday. This means that you have to sleep with a vomit bucket next to your bed because you throw up every night. Oh, and don’t forget to take your antiemetic. Your pain is worse so you have to take opiates now, which make you foggy and ‘hung over’ the next day. You’re too tired to shower and it drains you so much. You take medicine to combat symptoms, and other medicine to combat the side effects of the other medicine. You cannot work or study full time anymore. It sounds bad, but this is your new normal.
It does not stop there.
Symptoms change, develop or worsen over time. You may get medicine that can help it, but that is added to your new normal.
All the while, you’re asking yourself, is my new normal actually normal??? Would a normal person go to hospital for this? Would the hospital just laugh at me? Is there something wrong that needs attention in a time sensitive manner?
But probably not…
Time to establish a new routine, to fit my new severity of symptoms… because this is just the new normal.

Day of Productivity #1
So I'm terrible at posting consistently, especially for a challenge, so I'm gna do this new thing where I'm just gonna count up my days of productivity. (It'll stop when it stops? Idk! That's the fun for me, personally...)
Here's a personal project I worked on for fun this weekend: I'm working on turning some addressable LED lights into a useful application but I'm not done yet with the implementation. So, the lights are some dynamic mood lights for now!

How to : Heroin Chic Make Up. (By Lisalikeslipstick)
types of academics: tag yourself
nocturnal: messy notes, never sleeps, wakes up after noon, sarcastic, coffee addiction, turns everything in late, sweats, netflix, needs a lot of naps, deep cleans their room maybe once every 2 months, messy buns, says they’ll be productive but never is until it’s past 2 am
“perfect”: balances work, social life, and health, never sleeps past midnight, aces everything, pretty notes, coffeeshops and libraries, cardigans, makes their bed every morning, mom friend, skincare routine, organized playlists, neat handwriting, autumn, coffee with cream and sugar
extroverted: loud but beautiful laugh, twirly handwriting, polaroids, colorful pens, skirts, wants to/does dye their hair, goes to parties but leaves early, summer, travels a lot, teacher’s pet, throws sleepover study nights, paints nails while reading for homework, leather jackets
chaotic: amazing music taste, probably good with technology, doesn’t bond with professors, has few close friends but lots of acquaintances, parties a lot, never focused (but when they are they’re really productive), really bad at reading people, cram sessions, bad sleep schedule
independent: has only one friend per class, gets everything done on time, prefers office hours over asking questions in class, rain, print-out lecture notes, one yellow highlighter, beautiful smile, the color green, painter, likes studying outside, sensitive to high-energy people, striped sweaters
i'm 100% chaotic
