Hardcases Cyar'ika

@hardcasescyarika

Clones who have z6 rotary blaster simp, that includes Hardcase, Thorn, Hevy, and Jek. I'm also a Rex simp

On my second play through of Skyward sword and I forgot how much I hated that dramatic bitch Ghirahim. I'm on my 4th try getting past him at the forest temple. I am already so done. And I'm on hero mode, so I'm losing hearts 2 at a time now, so that's fun 🙄

Me whenever Ghirahim starts off on one of his dramatic shpeals:

Clone Wars era trip to a planet where men dawning lavish dresses is the norm so to follow cultural tradition Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex and Cody all have to get dressed up and go to this big event

Cody looks fucking fabulous and he knows it, there is a slit in the dress showing off those toned legs and Obi-Wan is struggling to remember the point of the mission

Rex is having great fun, if he spins the fabric flows about and it amuses him greatly, also a Prince just told him he has a sweet ass?!

Obi-Wan looks like some kind of God, the fabric shimmers in the light, noone can keep their eyes off him [this is also how they find out he has 3 tattoos] and the dress is backless so several photos of that man's shoulders as he reaches to grab something are now online also Rex has to keep smacking Cody because he's been staring at his general's arms for quite some fucking time now

Anakin keeps getting mistaken for a Princess and he's not amused, not at the dress or the royalty comparisons he just fucking hates the colour "Obi-Wan, why do I have to wear lavender? It doesn't work with my pales tones everyone knows I look better in black!" "Anakin there are currently 3 women eyeing you up, stop complaining"

On an unrelated note Rex has just been offered a small city for someone's hand in marriage, Obi-Wan and Cody have been given one room to share because everyone thinks they're a couple [they will be if Cody keeps looking like that for much longer] and some politician has already sent Padme pictures of Anakin

There' a poll on the Holonet after pictures are released publicly:

Hardcase: the floor is lava

Kix: "helps Jesse onto the counter"

Fives: "kicks Echo off the couch"

Rex: as you can see, there are two types of brothers.

Tup: "Laying on the floor"

Dogma: Are you ok?

Tup: 👍

Rex: Three types of brothers.

Cody: "tackles Rex off of the bar he was standing on"

Hardcase: 4 types of brothers.

This is kind of a basis for a fanfic I plan on writing, but I wanted to see what people thought of it first.

Rex had never liked the quiet before, it had always reminded him of all he'd lost, now more than ever as he walked into the empty barracks of the Resolute, the barracks that used to be filled with the laughter and joking of his brothers and his sister.....Fives, Echo, Hardcase, Tup, Kix, and Ahsoka all gone. Even though he had gotten Echo back for a short time, he was taken from him again in the blink of an eye. The only person Rex could really count on was Cody, or so he thought.

After the Tribunal crashed, Rex and Ahsoka went to search the wreckage, hoping to find survivors....they weren't so lucky. As they moved further and further into the star destroyer, all they found were the body's of thier Brothers. Rex didn't know many of his men personally anymore. He had learned a long time ago that that only makes it hurt more when they die. So it wasn't until he found Jesse's body that he truly mourned for the losses on the ship. For Jesse was the last remnants of the original 501st and of Rex's closest brothers, the ones that Fives had deemed "Rex's inner circle." Rex would never admit it because he didn't want to incourage Fives, but he actually liked the name.

Ahsoka had told him that she couldn't feel Anakin or Obi-wan anymore, and that could only mean on thing that the remnants of the 501st had finished the job that Rex couldn't. He didn't even want to think about the 212th. He just prayed that Cody hadn't been directly responsible for Obi-wans death. He knew how close his brother was to his general.

After burying the dead they headed to the core world's where they got word of Padme Amidalas death, since Rex was one of the few people who officially knew about the marriage of Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker he knew that if she was dead and the world wasn't burning as they speak then Anakin must be gone too. They traveled to Naboo and attended the funeral, there Ahsoka ran into Bail Organa, who gave Rex information on where he might find the bad batch. Soon after the funeral, Rex and Ahsoka parted ways, as much as it hurt Rex to leave her he knew it was for the best.

It had been several months since his last encounter with the bad batch to remove their inhibitor chips. Since then, his hair had grown well past regulation length, which to Rex symbolized his desertion from the Empire or Republic or whatever, he'd stopped caring who he was fighting a long time ago. His hair was also long enough now to wear the blue bandana that 99 had given him when he was a cadet. One of the last times Rex had talked to 99 before his death 99 had told him that a young defective cadet admired Rex so much from the stories 99 told him that he got a bandana of his own except his was red.

His current mission was to find Cody, he'd found out recently that most of the high-ranking clones, like Cody had been made into purge troopers.Rex had already rescued Wolffe and left him with Gregor back on courasant. Rex was currently tracking one of said purge troopers to Ord Mantell.

When he landed, he made his way to Cids bar, where he was greeted with hugs from both Wrecker and Omega. "Rex, I missed you."

"I missed you too, Vod'ika."You've grown a lot since last time."

"I sure have. Also, what's vod'ika mean?"

"It means little sister or brother in mandoa."

"Why are you here again so soon, Rex?" Hunter asked curiously.

"Yeah, I'd like to think it's because you missed your favorite Vod'ika, but I assume that's not it." Echo added jokingly.

"As good as it is to see you Echo your right that's not why I'm here, I'm here because I tracked a purge trooper to Ord Mantell, a purge trooper I belive to be Cody.

Time skip

"This isn't you, Cody, it's your chip, I know you're still in there, Cody. u just have to fight it." Rex screamed, tears streaming down his face as he held a blaster level with the chest of his closest brother.

"Good soldiers follow orders." That was all Rex needed to hear. As he fired at the brother that meant the world to him, he felt his heart shatter into a million pieces.

Rex opened his eyes and ran to his brother, his blaster bolts had hit their mark just as they always did.

Through tear stained eyes, Rex could see that Cody was trying to say something. "It's not your fault, Rex, it's mine, I wasn't strong enough.. i wasn't strong like you were i failed you Vod'ika " "And tell my Cyar'ika, tell Obi-wan that I'm sorry."

THE CLONE WARS ↳ favorite scenes ( 4/∞ )

Okay god this scene fucks me up so fucking bad for one specific reason okay? First of all, Rex is clearly throwing a blunt weapon

Image

Second, we don’t see it in this gifset how far apart they are, but they’re basically got a whole ass command room distance between them.

Third, we also don’t see this in this gifset, but that thing goes Through the back of this man’s chair that is at least 4 inches thick

If you are not picking up what I am putting down, Rex is canonically strong enough that he threw a blunt object with enough force to not only penetrate a creature’s flesh, but to impale that creature completely and go through the back of a solid object that most likely has metal in it.

What the fuck

1, I love this. What the heck WERE the Kaminoans teaching the clones, all so they will be THE most prepared army EVAR?

2, my brain also goes “but but but PHYSICS” - so I wonder. There is, after all, a very tired, very angry Jedi who’s had a bunch of torture recently standing right next to Rex - and he DID give the nod to go ahead.

I love Rex being THAT scary and awesome, but I do also love him and Obi-Wan having had ENOUGH.

so fun fact, according to wookiepedia, phase 1 clone armor weighs 40 kg (88 pounds, for imperial users). that is SO STUPIDLY HEAVY. full medieval plate armor, you know the one, the one with the reputation of being heavy and hard to move in (which isn’t exactly deserved, but whatever), yeah that one, that armor weighs, on average, between 15-25 kg (33-55 pounds). full american military kit, protective gear AND rifle AND ammo, the whole kit a caboodle, clocks in at about 26 kilos, or 58 pounds.

and clones wear that kind of weight all the time. casually. while fighting. on the march. they can wear that kind of weight and deadlift their brothers, who are also wearing that kind of weight, and then carry them at speed.

rex, in this bit, is not wearing clone armor. i’m not saying this is the clone wars equivalent of the rock lee vs gaara fight, but i’m not not saying that, either.

Gather round, girlies (GN)! We’re talking ✨Captain Rex✨ today.

  • Rex’s entire focus is his brothers and the GAR
  • He was bred to be a badass soldier, and he’s good with that
  • So on the battlefield he hits those notes with precision
  • He wasn’t bred to be Captain Rizz, so he can’t hit those notes without effort, and learning how to explore that side of himself
  • Social situations call for a skill set he wasn’t given or trained in, and didn’t feel like he had any need for
  • So while the boys are working on pick up lines and developing ungodly amounts of swag (looking at you Fives, and Kix!) he’s like nah, I’m good
  • And when he’s put in situations where those skills would be handy, he’s out of his depth and awkward

This takes me to the Rex x Reader fun of it all

  • You meet Rex in a professional capacity on the battlefield
  • He’s completely sure of himself in that role, and he’s a badass
  • You continue to think that’s who this man is all of the time until you’re put into a social situation where the lines are blurred and he falls apart
  • When he looks at you as medic, comms officer, mechanic, etc. you’re part of the machine. Valued of course, but your place in relation to him is clearly defined
  • When you’re in your civvies on shore leave, you’re now an attractive person talking to Rex the man, not Rex the captain
  • He’s interested no doubt, but ??? how to do the flirting???
  • Rex.exe has stopped working. Would you like to close the program or wait for it to respond?
  • This isn’t in the manual, there’s no defined rules of engagement that he can fall back on
  • It’s adapt and survive, and he can’t shoot his way into or out of it
  • You have to take the lead, you have to woo him
  • You want Rex? You gotta work for him. You gotta spell it out. You gotta take initiative.
  • Now once he’s sure of where he stands with you, sure of his place in your life?
  • It’s over for you in the best way possible
  • That confident, sure version of him is back in play
  • He knows what you like, what makes you happy, what turns you on
  • Now, it’s just timing and strategy, and he’s great at that
