Welcome to Mimic Ikea! Don't worry about it.
is Mimic Ikea one large mimic housing many smaller mimics?
Don't worry about it
CGI animators should unionize next. normally, their jobs would be too precarious to strike, since studios would replace them without a second thought, but if it's part of this larger general film strike, they might finally have meaningful power to better their working conditions
if CGI animators unionized, it would kill the MCU. straight up. the the entire business model is built on exploiting CGI animators
THEY ARE TRYING!!!!! SIGN THE PETITION TO GET THE DISNEY ANIMATORS' UNION RECOGNIZED
this petition is from IATSE (union), btw! it actually has credibility, unlike most change.org/etc petitions! please sign it!!
The depths are familiar. It is a long journey down, but to a timeless being such as themself, such a thing is of little consequence. Slowly, the light from above dies out, and all that remains is Seliat’s own pale light. It drapes over their surroundings, catching the drifting algae in the waters, the little fish that come close enough to brush against the light. And when they near the seafloor, the curtain of their light reveals the topography of the sunken earth. Towering spires appear in chiaroscuro, rough formations reaching towards the distant surface. A fleet of light-fish scatter in the cracks, revealing to Seliat’s gaze the shapes in the shadows — communities of creatures that dart away as the light touches them, and return in curiosity when danger does not arise. Seliat drifts closer to the tallest spire, the light-squid carrying the strange stone from earlier swimming on ahead. A school of fish guides them to a particular location before swimming away; Seliat follows, weightless claws curling around the spires as they see what, it seems, the ocean is trying to show them. It is clear where the fragment they carry broke off. But there, nestled in the hollow, are fragments of bone. It is so strange for it to have landed here, of all places… but the ocean around them seems to murmur, encourage, and Seliat picks up the fragment by setting it upon the back of a manta ray made of their light. They place the stone back where it came from, and it fits snugly. And now, they go further. Ebb and Flow - The Depths, Ch. 1: Spire. Featuring Seliat. Personal Website | Discord Server | TWWM Tracker
People don’t realize the absolute comedy that just went through Furry social media.
See, feral smut (i.e. smut of four-legged characters who otherwise satisfy the Harkness test) has always been a contentious subject in the furry fandom, due to how easily it leads to unwarranted real-life accusations of zoophilia. It’s an annoying bit of discourse that has been rearing its head every other year since the modern fandom began four decades ago.
Which, you know, pretty rich, coming from the fandom where a pretty large percentage readily admit to having had some form of sexual awakening over the TLK and MLP:FiM franchises.
And anyway, that discourse was exactly what was going on last week. People getting harassed on Twitter, as an extension of the whole “groomer” moral panic. A lot of fandom relative newcomers parroting arguments right out of the Burned Furs movement (a late 1990s/early 2000s movement dedicated to “purifying” the furry fandom from “perversion” and “degeneracy”).
And then, just as the discourse was at its most heated, Baldur’s Gate 3 entered the chat.
Suddenly, everyone was talking about the game that will let you fuck a bear. Yes, a bear, as in Ursus arctos. A Druid shapeshifted into a bear, to be fair (again: the Harkness test), but a bear nonetheless.
And mainstream media erupted with reports that the game’s sales skyrocketed based on that scene alone.
And the discourse suddenly screeched to a hilariously embarrassed halt.
10/10 comedic timing, no notes.
This just cannot be left hidden in the tags.
Have y’all tried marrying people you like?
imagine opening the newspaper over your morning coffee and the first article is a piece by your wife about how much she fucking hates you

Friendly reminder that unions are more effective at reducing workplace inequality than any corporate sensitivity training program.
I'm just gonna slide this on in here for anyone that is interested in preserving old games. They take it very seriously too, they want an archive of every single game. Like, they have lists of every game ever released for a system, and once that system gets old enough, they add it to their archive and start collecting. Their latest addition was the Xbox 360, they opened that vault up in September 2022, and proudly announced they'd finished their collection of games for it back in April.
Also, while their game archives are almost entirely complete, they've got another project of archiving the manuals that came with those games, and that is... considerably less well filled out. Their collection of Xbox 360 manuals is especially rough, they've only gotten manuals for three games. So if you've got some Xbox 360 games kicking around, and the manual's still with them, please consider scanning them and submitting them to the site!
Game preservation is important, but people rarely consider preserving the manuals as well; I really respect Vimm's Lair for being so thorough in their archival work.

You’re slightly colorblind, that is 74 and the color of the car is orange.
world heritage post
It’s orange

Bestie it’s 74
Y’all it clearly fucking says 21
where are you getting that from?
Babes it’s 81 what r yall seeing
its 74 bestie you might be colorblind
That 81 person can see shrimp colors
I took exactly the same image, increased the saturation, and shifted it to a part of the spectrum most people can see better.
For all your no-YOU-have-the-weird-color-vision argument-solving needs.
Also, the car is orange.
