A Beginner's Guide to the dangan ronpa fandom
Congratulations! You’ve finished either the first, second, or both of the dangan ronpa games. Here are some tips for survival. (Spoilers)
-you will be spoiled if you haven’t been
-you will be bombarded with komahina
-do not trash talk komaeda even slightly (get it)
-KOMAHINA
-accept you will never ever see fan art of Twogami, Teruteru, Yamada, Akane, Nidai, or Hagakure
-do not even think about trash talking any ship
-sometimes even the most unlikely ships are a thing (Souda and ibuki, touko and Hagakure)
-you will come across a mastermind version of each character (except for the six I mentioned that everyone hates for some reason) at least once
-we do not discuss Chihiro Fujisaki’s gender
-the Hetero and gay ships get the most love (what I mean is no one ships sakuraoi and it makes me salty)
-sprite edits are more than common
-dangan ronpa Mary sues are a thing, and wonderful (my favorites are sugoitacos, imoutoonegai69, and that one deviant that did hibiki frolo that I am blanking out on)
-the animation isn’t that bad, despite what anyone may say (have you fucking seen the corpse party animation)
-pretty much any AU you can think of is a thing
