Wait. What’s going on?

Basically: a guy in Russia named Andrew Duskin is trying to copyright the entire Foundation over a small artbook featuring SCP-inspired art. The copyright has taken effect in Russia and now the Russian branch of the Foundation is shut down, and it has the potential to shut down the rest of the wiki.

Obviously, we’re REALLY mad because this one guy is trying to claim the work of thousands as his own, and the copyright will severely affect everyone involved in the Foundation, ESPECIALLY those who make their living off of it.

This copyright came up before in the past- and was briefly forgotten for some reason- and now the administrators are working to sue Andrew Duskin (as you can see here), but the process of suing someone is very expensive.

The main issue we all have with this is him trying to copyright everything. Like I said, it’s the work of thousands of people, and by putting a copyright on the Foundation, the whole thing might come to a halt and shut down because of copyright laws.

Which is, again, why he is (rightfully) getting sued.

So, if we want the Foundation to continue being the Foundation, we gotta help out if we can.

TikTok has banned LGBT content

I think some people might not know, so I’m spreading this, but TikTok has banned LGBT content.

For that reason, I’m not going to be reblogging TikTok videos anymore, and I encourage you to do the same.

I know it’s hard. TikTok felt like getting Vine back, but they’re scummy homophobic poo-poos and I feel like we should take a stand against that.

I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. She was so tall I couldn’t see her face but she was wearing gold and I was like “uh...hi?” And she said “I made you, do you know that?” And I nodded and she was like “I hear your thoughts. hi, this is mr dad, the most tragic boy in the universe

okay, at the time of this video he wasn’t, it was taken in January for a vet checkup, but now he might be the most tragic, or at least close. mr dad is a ten year old rescue cat i took in in 2016. in the past month he’s had to be taken to the vet more often than the last 3 years combined. in it, he’s needed

treatment for feline pink eye ([coupon used] $25 visit, plus $25 goo, $30 in lyfts)
treatment for FLUTD ($250 visit, plus $25 medicine, $20 new food and litter, $30 cat pheramone starter kit)

today he’s started straining to pee outside the box again, suggesting the FLUTD is threatening to flare up.

I’ve placed him back in my room with all his favorite things in hopes it will help. im really exhausted and concerned, because my second job cancelled today and my main job is on-call and this week i work half the hours i get for the entire month, 12 hour days. my roommate can look after him until Monday, but after that, we are screwed. FLUTD can go from okay to fatal in a matter of hours, but if i miss work to monitor him i won’t be able to afford rent, or, god forbid, emergency care if he winds up needing it.

this back to back cat illness has burned up my nest egg, and i’m really scared I’ll have to stay home a day, or, worse, that this money fear will prevent me from staying home when I should have. so, i’m plugging my kofi for hopefully one last time, with what i paid last visit as a goal. boosts would be very much appreciated.

update: i put him in my room, went to write this, came back, and in the 10 minutes i was gone he’s started bleeding. we’re waiting by the door for my roommie to drive us to the vet.

update 6pm pst (first post around 430-5pst): im home for a minute. they recommend doing a urinalysis on him to rule out some stuff, so they’re holding him at the vet until his bladder fills enough to do one. running total is over 300 and doesn’t count any additional meds if the test comes back with something that needs them, but i got the vet who waived some fees during his pink eye ordeal and i DID just spell “urinalysis” correct on my first try so maybe our luck is improving? thank you all so much
