man i basically haven't drawn or written anything since like. october.
actually that's a lie, i just remembered i wrote a couple hundred words on one of my WIPs last week when i was supposed to instead be writing an essay. so basically i just need somebody to give me pressingly urgent Tasks to complete, not so many that i feel too stressed and exhausted to allow myself to focus on anything fun, just enough so that i get the sudden urge to procrastinate. then my creative pursuits will flourish.

#in my defence i've been busy but surely not THAT busy#i need to actually commit to making time for my creative hobbies#otherwise i'm gonna stagnate and backslide#like. drawing STILL hasn't gone back to feeling as natural as it used to after i stopped doing it for like a year or two there#but i'd made a bit of progress on getting the magic back and i don't wanna lose it all again#and obviously there isn't any 'magic' it only ever came from hard work and commitment and making drawing a regular habit#it takes a lot of effort to get to the point where things feel effortless!

i think it's fucked up that we've made death, an inevitable thing that happens to everyone, into such a taboo subject that enjoying spending time in places where dead people exist is offensive and sinister to you
#man relax the dead people don’t care#i mean keep it respectful and everything but it’s literally fine to go for a walk in a cemetery. a lot of them are really nice places#and are set up to encourage people to spend time there and visit the graves of their loved ones#and even if you don’t know anyone there it’s not a bad thing to go for a stroll#certainly better than letting cemeteries fall into neglect and disrepair bc nobody visits or bothers maintaining them
My favourite thing about Judith Deuteros is that she sincerely and without pomp believes herself to be the most competent and level headed person in the cast even though the only thing she's accomplished in 1400+ pages is getting mortally wounded while calling for help

Then she fails to assert her authority through force because she underestimated two people who were, in fact, her strategic and martial superiors
And THEN when she was at the end of her rope instead of cooperating with the people who were actively investigating the problems, she decided to murder a group of old people so she could call on the Greater Authority in the sky to tell everyone she was right.
And the old people fucking kicked her ass.
