tbh, i’m a bit skeptical of a dragon age sequel because i feel as though with the focus on solas as a villain and everything it will lean into themes of elves and gods, which to me only become less interesting as more is revealed. one of the unique aspects of dragon age was that its gods were not confirmed, there were no answers much like real life, and that was relatable. as more is revealed, for me the setting becomes only more generic, in line itself to every other high fantasy setting.
then again i feel like i might be falling into one of the geek traps of getting so attached to the original, that in my eyes no sequel can compare no matter how good that sequel is.
