the repetition of Crowley saying, "i'm a demon, i lie" (white lies. little lies. he doesn't lie about stuff that actually matters) vs Aziraphale thinking he really does lie (about stuff that does matter, like not wanting to be an angel, like not being a good person, like not wanting forgiveness). they really are listening to each other but hearing something different. (aim for my mouth, shoot past my ear)

stop asking neil gaiman to confirm/deny things and just violently project your own issues onto the characters the way God intended

something about old queer people being able to finally be queer and out. something about our flag means death and good omens having older gay people who are discovering themselves and kissing eachother. something about the aids crisis and a generation of old queers being forced to hide or dying. something about young queers being able to see themselves grow old.

my singing voice is good for showers and mornings in the kitchen and drunken nights and lullabies for babies who need sleep and im okay with this

i think it’s silly to be ashamed of your art because it’s not in a museum and of your voice because it’s not selling out stadiums. there will always be people who enjoy and appreciate what you can do.

Idk why but this hit me really hard and I’ve been staring at it for a couple minutes.

doctor who van gogh scene but it's showing boromir gondor restored

ok why you got me crying so early in the day

Imagine being able to tell Boromir that he did not fail Frodo. The ring is destroyed. Evil did not triumph.

Merry and Pippin are safe. They are safe because of him.

Aragorn is king. Gondor is restored to glory.

Faramir, his brother, is safe and loved. Alive. The line of Ecthelion is unbroken.

The Men of the West prevailed against Mordor and Boromir can rest easy knowing that the love he had for his people was not in vain.

We know you want to burn down capitalism.

But for today, just don’t answer your boss’s call off the clock.

We know you believe in ACAB and think they all should get the wall.

But for today, just don’t call 9-1-1 on the guy screaming outside of your apartment.

The memes are fun. The memes are aspirational and keep us reaching for the horizon.

But look down, too, at what actually is.

Endure pains now—suffer the inconveniences now—knowing that they likely involve unpleasantness.

The Revolution™ is fun to imagine and involves no pain. But the real world does involve pain, and it’s necessary to exercise the muscles needed for future work and opportunities.
