i saw this and decided that it is them low effort drawing though because they're just so hard to draw ?? odo is so visually bland, and then quark has so much happening, so they look a bit funny when you put them together

a million years ago @eugenelevys and i (and some other people) were yelling about an au where ds9 is a middle school and its characters are teachers and students and i kept threatening to draw a comic about a disastrous field trip chaperoned by quark and odo

I experience more outward homophobia as an Out person but the homophobia I experienced as a closeted lesbian dating men was very real and very traumatic. Trauma as in the shit that reshapes your brain. I did not experience straight privilege.

So if you can understand that… how would it make sense that a closeted trans girl/woman experiences male privilege?

Being closeted is not and will never be a privilege. I wouldn’t wish that shit on anyone. Forcing yourself to be someone you’re not and being brainwashed into believing you’re someone you’re not is literally damaging to the psyche.

Bro I fucking love the DB Cooper case nothing about this whole situation sounds real. None of the passengers on the plane realized they were being hijacked until the plane landed two hours after it was supposed to and the fbi showed up with suitcases full of money. The note about the bomb almost went unnoticed because the flight attendant thought she was being sexually harassed so she didn't read it. One of the main suspects was the first trans woman in Washington to have a sex change operation. A reporter who was so dead set on his suspect that he brought him to court was so upset about being wrong that he went catatonic and was treated with electroshock therapy and it WORKED. There's been multiple "I'm DB Cooper" death confessions. He never even SAID his name was DB Cooper. Either he got away with a million bucks in today's money and the most iconic and harmless crime American history or he impaled himself on a pine tree while falling a zillion miles an hour in the dark while clutching duffel bags full of cash and either option is equally hilarious. He wore a clip on tie. He committed an act of sky piracy. What in the fucking looney toons

i have two (2) theories on this:

#I think that it's definitely crime. like Doc 100% is tax dodging or money laundering or taking moderately sketchy science commissions #but I also think that if you call up this business & ask him to repair your tv or.whatever he'll make up a rate + do it for you anyway #so like the purpose is 2 but in practice it looks a lot like 1

yeah i think ur right, it's a bit of both

another possible function of the fake business is that, as various ppl have pointed out, it's kind of weird in terms of Zoning that Doc's 'house' is in what is clearly not a residential area so it's possible he registered it as a fake business

eventually Marty is gonna figure out that Dr E Brown Scientific Enterprises is a money laundering front and it's going to be like finding out Santa Claus isn't real :(
