When I posted these illustrations on Twitter, I did not get much response, but this is what I consider the ideal KAKAGAI.

I think Gai and Kakashi have a strong spiritual connection, like they support and respect each other.

I find that about these two to be very sublime.

Fun fact! Having a job every day is actually a fairly new thing.

In olden times, people had daily chores and other things to do but their workload/ daily working hours was actually much lower than it is today. Even in farming communities.

The concept of working super hard every day actually comes from capitalism, which in turn comes from Puritanical ideology.

The Puritans believed in salvation through work and in no play.

Early capitalists adopted this ideology because it meant higher productivity and therefore more money if their factories were running near constantly.

The idea of needing to be continuously productive in order to be useful/ allowed things like food and shelter, is actually quite an insidious ideal that is deeply rooted in the American culture.

4 day work weeks have actually proven to be more productive than the 5 day week. But corporations won't adopt it willingly because it means less of a stranglehold on their workers.

Finally realized there was a link on this post. Bless

I love how much about SBI is explained when you remember Wilbur’s a musician, Techno’s a writer, Tommy’s a theatre kid, and Phil’s an FPS gamer.

Phil was not just competition level, he was like—someone get the stats for me. On a national team? He was one of the top ranked halo snipers out there, in England at least. Like very close to being able to go pro except that e-sports was barely a thing in Europe at the time.

Him doing five year survival worlds, running the antarctic empire, and soloing lynels naked in botw is Phil on his chill, non-competitive arc.

Well I think part of the issue is that Phil is comparing himself to people who are the best in the world at the game he’s playing (he thinks he’s not good at minecraft because he compares himself to redstone boffins and hermitcraft builders and technoblade for PVP), and part of it is that he’s comparing himself to his 19 year old self who played sixteen hours of halo a day, so yeah he thinks he fell off.

And also a bunch of people told him he wasn’t good at stuff, including a huge assortment of his teachers, so he will do shit like fix a computer over discord based entirely on audio descriptions from a panicking Tommy, and then he’ll call himself stupid.

I’ve spent like 2 hours trying to find some fuckin sources but I can’t. I believe his team were 2nd or 3rd best in Europe for halo and he was one of the best snipers in England. At the time tournaments won you about 1.8k for the whole team (he played 4v4) and usually was just a bout enough to cover travel fairs sometimes. It was basically too expensive to get to the big tournaments there were mostly in Asia at the time.

Yeah I think he’s mentioned going to events (I-series, now Insomnia) to play tournaments, but you couldn’t pay the rent off of that.

Last time he played halo someone pulled up his global stats and he’s still in the top percentage of players despite not having played in years, but I can’t find the site people were pulling that data from.

Anyways when Phil talks about “clicking on heads” he means he’s very, very good at shooting things.

This both explains a lot and changes EVERYTHING

For those worried about the crew having to do a whole job just for one person, flight staff only get paid for time they're in the air; if he'd cancelled, they wouldn't have gotten paid for zip.

So in other words, he gave them an easy day where they can spend most of it on break, and also airplane staff should unionize.

Also the plane likely has to get to NC somehow so you might as well have fun with it
