for those of u curious about the state of the bird app
It’s really nice that Eyes of Heaven let Kakyoin live at the end, as opposed to something like, oh I dunno, the ps1 fighting game, where even if you beat the game with him, he gets on a plane to go home and dies of like, being too sad.

Sorry seeing that gifset again made me remember something I talked about briefly with Kins and now I'm thinkin about it again. But like. One thing that kills me between Ankh and Goda's possession of Eiji is how much of a length they go to to change his looks while theyre in control.
Like look at Goda for a moment:
Most of the time yes he looks like Eiji because hes literally trying to be him, but when its him presenting as himself he looks almost Nothing like him. The hair changes, the eyes are a different color, he's clearly a different person.
And then you look at Ankh when hes possessing Eiji:
Theres barely any change there. A few little color streaks and feathers, and of course the arm, but that is Clearly still Eiji. Ankh isnt trying to override or replace Eiji with his prescense, merely coexist with him while theyre doing this. Its a lot different than how he is possessing Shingo as well, he completely molds Shingo to look like himself, but he leaves Eiji alone as he is. Theres a bigger level of respect for Eiji as his vessel than Goda has for him honestly and it Kills Me to think about.
remember when there was a genre of popular post on here like ‘if someone is into studying wartime history that is a Red Flag they’re probably some kind of violence-obsessed freak’ and now we’re getting posts like ‘wait how was united states involvement in WWII a bad thing? we saved people from the germans! this isn’t a black-and-white issue the nuclear bomb actually had a lot of nuan-’
It does 😔
The funniest thing about "US war crimes made the people who did it feel super bad 😟" is pretty much universally across the board it really didn't
Oppenheimer never went on to oppose the use of nuclear weapons, even after getting ratfucked by the Red Scare, and died peacefully at home. William Westmoreland, who wanted to use nuclear weapons on Vietnam, said he lost because "the Oriental doesn't put the same price on life as a Westerner." Chris Kyle bragged about shooting women and children in Afghanistan (at least he mercifully got his lights turned off by one of his fellow operator chud stormtroopers). None of these "people" ever gave a shit.
one of the most infuriating parts of the 'White Light/Black Rain: The Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki' documentary is when they interview the actual pilots who dropped the nukes, their reaction was pretty much "nah what we did was completely justified. Not an ounce of regret. Never even lost sleep about it lol".

a lot of self professed socialists and left wing people have absolutely no consciousness on imperialism and when it comes down to it could easily be convinced of being fascists
seriously when the reaction to people making very realistic observations on how the structure of the global economy is unsustainable, especially for the first world, is “great way to make people support socialism by telling them their lives are gonna be worse under it”…
if you define quality of life and freedom in terms of access to cheap commodities and convenience at the cost of others, you might not be a socialist!!
socialism quite literally is not defined by “increased access to goods” (this is something capitalism technically does as well and what proponents of capitalism argue to defend it). it is defined by changes in the relations of productions, it is a shift in the social reality of daily life, through restructuring production and who is in control of production. reorganizing economic life according to peoples direct needs and not to existing superfluous capitalist markets that depend on an entire advertising apparatus to manufacture desire therefore will impact what is produced, and impact consumption. if your politics are primarily concerned with consumption and not around the locus of production and peoples working lives, you are not viewing this as a socialist, you just want social democracy. to say that the excesses of western life, propped up by hyper exploitation of the third world, are not sustainable and not preferable to the people whose labor produces them, is not even an argument on moral grounds, its a reality of the contradictions inherent to modern imperialism.
I consider myself a microinfluencer in the way I can get ten to fifteen people to consume a piece of media if I’m annoying enough about it
It's actually totally normal and not at all weird for adults to have friendships with kids. They are DIFFERENT from adult/adult friendships, but they are friendships all the same. The fact that many people react to seeing adults online having a friendly relationship with kids ALONE (with no actual creepy behavior on display) as automatically being a red flag is a sign of two things: one that we have an overblown culture of fear and distrust of strangers fed by a culture that uplifts the nuclear family unit as the paragon of safety (despite it not being one for many) and two that we as a society dehumanize children so much that we cannot imagine an adult (that isn't a teacher/relative/friend of the family) finding the company of kids to be fulfilling WITHOUT having some nefarious ulterior motive.
The atomic bombings did not save lives. They didn’t end the war. The Japanese leadership didn’t even respond to them. We had already so thoroughly brutalized Japan at that point that the loss of two medium sized cities was a drop in the bucket. We annihilated over 30 Japanese cities before we dropped the bombs. The real reason we dropped them was to demonstrate to the Soviets that we had them. The Japanese surrendered because the Soviets were also about to launch an invasion and the Japanese Empire knew they’d get better terms negotiating with us.
Isn't this just reverse saying trans men can't wear skirts? Is it not the exact same thing?
What.
nooo my mutual is better than that. it was sinply op's corrupting influence that made them reblog that
