Fun fact! The misfits probably think Lenore is just a well off actor, because she canonically speaks with an transatlantic accent,

which was at first a thing actors would do because more people would come to the show, if they simply couldn’t tell if the person performing was American or English, because at this point in history, people were still pretty bigoted when it came to nationality and may not attend shows if a person was from a specific place. Usually it was Americans not attending shows because the people were English or the English not attending shows because the people were American.

This sort of posh sorta refined manner of speaking was soon adopted by people in American high society, who fancied themselves a bit of European culture and arts and music and what not.

But since Duke, Pluto, Berenice and Eulalie are all from 1910+ eras, and probably haven’t met a lot of people in high Society in the first place, they all probably associate this accent with actors and performers. 

Which would also explain why they haven’t clocked in Lenore as being ✨posh✨, she knows fencing/sword fighting technics? Learn stage fighting for the sake of the role. Speaks or understands Latin and Dutch? Bitch was just COMMITTED to a fancy role. Knows a decent amount of about different places and their cultural norms? traveled a lot for her work. Wears a suit with a old timey necktie single day?? Actor shit. Plays the piano and knows a lot about classical music? Even MORE actor shit. They just think that Lenore has played enough posh roles that she herself has starting acting posh, but they simply cannot fathom that she actually is a posh person cause the bitch had MORALS and is a generally nice and charming person, rich people don’t do that, it’s simply not possible.

+! All the more reason they have probably clocked her in as Gay cause we all know the types of people that have been actors and writers throughout history,
