A group of orange ponies were lined up to have their photo taken when a very orange cat decided she belonged with this group too. And indeed she does.
(Not even our cat! Nice friendly girl though.)

By definition, enchantment is, “the state of being under a spell; magic”. In witchcraft it is simply that, an item that is under a spell. Like any spell, it has an intention and the item is programmed under that. There are two parts to the enchantment of an item; programming intention and activation. Programming intention is pretty self explanatory, its your intent. Activation on the other hand is unique to the witch. Visualization of your chosen energy flowing into the item is the easiest way to enchant an item in my opinion, but the possibilities are endless.
the older i get and the more veteran i become with witchcraft, the more weirdly specific the spells i write start to get. ive gone from "spell jar for happiness uwu" to highly ritualized things along the lines of "Spell To Help Convince Your Spouse To Go To Your Cousin's Wedding With You Because Your Mean Aunt Is Coming And You Need Support"
The Ancient Greeks believed that everything was made up of one or more of the four elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire. They were considered the building blocks of life. This idea survived in scientific thought until a few centuries ago, and it is credited by historians as evolving into the chemical elements scientists work with today.
The Greeks came to add a fifth element called aether (“pure air” or “clear sky”), which was believed to embody the “upper air” that the Greek Gods breathed in the heavens. It was considered an aspect of air by philosophers, but Aristotle found it to be a distinct Element by itself and added it to the list. This element is also widely known as Akasha, the Sanskrit word for ‘space’. Akasha appears in many Eastern traditions and is described as the original element from which all creation came, which still exists in infinite capacities in the physical world and beyond. Later, Akasha would come to be associated with the concept of ‘Spirit’, which is how it is known now in most Pagan and Wiccan circles. All elements correspond with particular values, charges, colours, seasons, etc.
While most practitioners choose to stick to the Ancient Greek system of the Classical Elements (Earth, Air, Fire and Water), some people find this limiting. Chinese astrology for example, includes Earth, Fire and Water, but leaves out Air in favour of Wood and Metal (which fall under Earth in Western traditions). The Chinese did not necessarily view the Wood and Metal elements as different forms of matter, but more as different forms of energy.
Ancient Tibetan philosophy recognises the Classical Elements, but adds Space as a fifth element. Practitioners may prefer to adhere to different ‘elemental systems’, that cover other areas of the natural world. Strangely enough, pop culture provides many effective examples. For example, Pokémon types:
Investigation of these Pokémon types will show that while there may be some overlap, each of these types have distinct qualities; ice is ultimately different to water. Of course, few elemental systems incorporate this many elements. Another example is the Legend of Zelda franchise, where ‘sages’ hold power over seven elements:
An even simpler elemental system is adding sun and moon to the classical four.

🕷 This probably sounds obvious, but set reminders on your phone/in your calendar!
🕷 It’s a really good way to track the progress of your spell work, especially when you’re someone like me who’s entirely way too forgetful.
🕷 If you started a spell on a new moon which is meant to come into full effect by the full moon, set reminders/alarms in your phone to check in with the progress of the spell you’re working, and to remember to add any extra work like meditation, prayers, or ingredients that need to be added as time passes!
🕷 It’s a good tool to use to check end results (ex. Hey did that spell I cast on my friend for relationship help taken effect yet? It’s been a week, I better check in with them!), or similar check ins with divination like tarot or pendulum.
🕷 One of my biggest issues is forgetting important dates/phases, and setting reminders and alarms has really helped!
