I hope it's not obvious that I made this blog just to slowly bait and switch beatles fans into following a Norm Macdonald blog
Set in Hamburg in the pre-Ringo days, but everyone is retconned to be 18+. John and George have never acknowledged the way John touches him at night, but George knows that's how this kind of thing works, that things like this– intimate, embarrassing, electrifying things between two men – will always be relegated to silence and shadow and isolation. He does his best to be okay with that, to put reason to that, even as the guilt and confusion are taking over his life. He only wants to understand the rules, to do everything right, so John can't look at him like a child and make him feel utterly stupid and worthless. Because surely this must mean he's worth something to him. Even if it's against the rules to think that.
And then he finds out what exists between John and Paul, and the rules all fall apart.
Chapter 3 up now!
1972, May 9th - Maureen, Ringo, Pattie and George at London airport to catch a flight to the South of France to attend the annual Cannes Film Festival and see a screening of The Concert For Bangladesh
like Ringo looks adorable but then sometimes he switches up and looks like THIS.
And I love him
you’re probably ugly and fat as hell just like john was before he died thats why your entire blog is finding all the ways to shit on paul mccartney, the one who’s still alive (wonder why that is) because your john was a serial EVERYTHING thats wrong in the book. Oooo i know it hurts !! 🤩
I'm so glad you sent me this because people keep trying to tell me the Paul fandom isn't toxic anymore, and while I think it's improved a LOT since ~2021 the fandom is still way more prone to whataboutism, martyrizing our fave, and overall intolerance to good faith criticism than almost any other fandom I've ever been a part of (and obviously a bit of garden variety trolling too lol). If you're interested just scroll through @ihartmccartney because her pocket of the fandom and the other blogs that participate in it are an almost cartoonish example of what I'm talking about.
(That's obviously not to say that stanning Paul is bad in of itself, or even being a Paul solo stan -- meaning you dislike the beatles but do like Paul. That's all completely fine. I just find it really interesting how fandoms become more tolerant of toxicity over time/in response to outside stimuli, and I think as a massive Paul stan myself I do have an obligation to engage in his fandom with self awareness and a willingness to recognize toxicity, even or perhaps especially when it's not directed at me.)
ringo usually looks either really cute or confused in pictures but then every once in a while there's a picture like this and i just sir??
The only reason I think we live in a simulation is because Norm Macdonald clearly found some kind of cheat code to generate instant gutbusting laughter without anyone knowing how or why
Pictures of George where he looks like he would stare deeply and knowingly into your eyes as you poured out all your troubles over a glass of wine but also he's playing a really annoying fucking song on the ukulele the whole time so you're not 100% sure if he's listening to you or if that's just his face
