I just wanted to say that your photos are a huge inspiration for me as a writer. They're beautiful and make my mind flourish with new, thrilling ideas for a chapter, or just a short story. Thank you for sharing your work with us

Thank you so much!!! This message is so kind and thoughtful. I really appreciate you taking the time to send it. I'm so thankful I can inspire your story writing, even if just a little. I would love to read your work. Happy Holidays 🥰🥰

Hey I was wondering if you have any photos from around Westman/ or more specifically Newdale, MB or the surrounding areas?

Hello! Thanks for your question, I appreciate it. I dont have any from those two towns specifically, but I do have some from around Bradwardine, Virden, Souris and Shoal Lake. It looks like i had a pretty house in Kenton bookmarked, but I never got around to making the trip out there. Is there anything cool in those towns or surrounding areas?

Thank you for making winter pretty

Thanks for the nice message :)

I love all of your photos! What kind of camera do you use? Also, do you have any tips for someone who would like to get into film photography someday? Thank you for taking the time to share your work with the world of tumblr ❤️🎈

Thanks so much!!! Most of my old photos are with a Nikon N2000 because it was the camera my dad gifted my mum for their 3 year anniversary in the early 80s. But I broke like three of them and went to a newer Minolta Maxxum for their durability! I have dropped mine many times with no issues.

I think those point and shoots at the thrift store are really easy to start out with because they dont have many confusing controls. They are really cheap so you can experiment to see if you like it!

But tbh, I am getting out of film and im going to purchase one of those Fujifilm X100 cameras since they replicate the look of film pretty well. You can make them look like different film cannisters and add grain. Film is not v environmentally sustainable since it uses gelatin and a lot of plastic. Plus it is expensive to always buy film and get it developed!

Do you know of any cool places I could check out in Alberta? Or close to the Alberta/Saskatchewan border? I just stayed 5 days in an old abandoned church built in 1917 in Arcola

Uhmm in Paynton, SK there is an old church that is converted to an art gallery! There was a weird fence outside adorned with doll heads and skulls and gravestones. Bresaylor has an abandoned church. Piapot is a really cool town, there is a pink church, a house filled with skulls in the yard and a communist sign on a scrap metal place there. There is a town near there called Golden Prairie i have always wanted to visit! And some funny town names like Smiley, Superbe, CUt Knife that I haven't visited.

hey!! would you mind telling me where the mennonite thrift store from your most recent post is? <3
