When I was in rehab for a broken hip, my physiotherapist taught me to do the hand/wrist, feet and neck exercises as well as leg extensions etc.
‘It’s all connected,’ he’d say. And he’s right :) I still do those exercises regularly and they help. They help a lot.
I wanna say from very bottom of my heart that I deeply truly rabidly despise Taylor Swift and the glamorous black hole of immorality, gracelessness and lack of integrity she represents. I truly hate that I have to witness her 2-chord mediocre stream of consciousness high school ballads win the highest accolades in music. I hate how there's not a single discourse - from sports to fucking queer theory - that's free of her. I hate her white feminism, how she's never stood for a single thing that didn't ensure her wealth. I hate how she's credited and praised for things marginalised artists did before her. I hate how she latches onto new artists so they serve HER fame, like remoras to a shark. I hate her phony humble beginnings narrative that people parrot without acknowledging she's a nepo baby. I hate what she did to olivia rodrigo and how no one talks about it. I hate the waste her concerts, lifestyle, and merch create and that a young girl died from heat illness at her concert because the swift team prioritises exclusivity and profit over safety. I hate how she and her fandom popularised the idea that critiquing a woman = misogyny. I hate how she's in her mid 30s and still writes songs like she's a teenager and that songs written by a woman in her 30s acting like a teenager are inescapable. I hate she deliberately re-releases songs and records so other artists can't chart. I hate how she regularly and openly associates with bigoted people but somehow is always given the benefit of the doubt. Most of all I hate how she does and continues to do all of this and so much more and her fans will always have a, "but!" always have an, "anyway!". she's openly and uncritically supporting a presidential candidate who's administration is enacting genocide, but because she made a joke with her cats, we're meant to be like, "yay!" I truly despise Taylor Swift and the black hole of neoliberal white feminist mediocrity she is in popular culture.

I adore the many fics exploring how suspicious Rumi might have been throughout the years as she covered more and more of her arms, and delving into the angst potential of that, but canon Rumi actually covered her arms in makeup and just went sleeveless sometimes.
We have two canonical pictures of a sleeveless Rumi in the movie. There are likely a number of instances where Rumi had to carefully cover her patterns with makeup rather than cloth. (The bathhouse was a non-negotiable because water and makeup are not a safe bet.)
The more her patterns grew the less likely she was able to do that safely, but Mira and Zoey have seen all of Rumi's arms and shoulders at various points.

Damn, I already had a feeling about them since... I’m not sure when. Their fashion sense really threw me off and I hated their takes on video games. I’m glad that my impulse to find out their identity, uproot their career, and destroy their life was justified after all, at least based on what I can remember!
you want proof that it happened? well, check this out, after we filled their inbox with accusations, they didn't immediately roll out a full PR statement on why they're sorry for doing the things I said they did and how they'll do better in the future. they acted as though they had never even heard of any of the people or events involved, and they even got angry once I insisted they were actually the scum of the earth and deserved to be hunted down and shot for the rumours I kinda half heard about them. why would they double down like that if they WEREN'T guilty?
They turned off anonymous asks after posting responses to fifteen anons, which is good enough evidence for me that they know they have done indefensible things and are facilitating crime. If they were innocent they would take the abuse and respond to every accusation with a unique acknowledgement of every bad thought they have ever had and abject apologies for ever having dared to be on the internet, where countless people have been harmed by their 1,000-follower blog.

The conversation around abortion shouldn’t be “are you absolutely sure you want an abortion” it should be “are you absolutely sure you want a child”. You can get pregnant again. You can adopt. But you can’t half-heartedly raise a child or change your mind midway through parenthood. Children are a huge responsibility and if someone isn’t 110% sure they are willing and able to do it, they shouldn’t. Having a baby shouldn’t be the default because of how extremely demanding and difficult parenthood is and the irreversible damage it does to a kid to be raised by someone who didn’t even fully want parenthood and wasn’t prepared for that level of responsibility.

this also counts for all those times you kept your mouth shut and didn't complain because you were being polite, and people would gladly have changed things if you had just asked. your suffering was not noble. you do not get a cookie for it, you do not get a tally mark next to your soul's score for grinning and bearing it. your suffering serves no purpose. break free of it. you deserve comfort.
