HOLY MACKINAW

Annie. 28. Maritimer. I've been told I'm funny at least twice.

Fic idea where after the whole Accords fiasco Steve just starts working as a bartender at a pub in a small town in Ireland.

And it's just ridiculous.

He gets this thick Irish accent two weeks in, and at the beginning people don't realise it's him. But his name tag says STEVE and he never hides his superstrength.

You can see him carrying too many beer barrels for it to be normal, or cursing Stark/The Avengers/Accords new policies and its hilariously accurate/only an insider could come up with such detailed takes.

His bartending game is 10/10 and his sense of humour, no nonsense attitude towards bigots makes it so people in the town just decide that he is their local himbo.

So when he is recognised, his identity is kept like an open secret. Everyone in the town knows Cap is the guy serving Guinness down the street, but if a tourist/UN official shows up? That's just Steven, he was born and rised here, he's Siobhan's grandkid, what are you talking about.

Bonus points if Rogue Avengers (Bucky, T'Challa, Sam, Nat, etc) just keep showing up with like: zero disguises and sometimes even Cap merch.

The UN is going fucking crazy, and one day Tony Stark himself goes there to check. Steve pulls a fake mustache and just pretends like he doesn't even know who Tony Star, CEO of Stark Industries is. It gets on his nerves so much he starts rising his voice and all the regulars at the pub just kick him out. "How dare you speak like that to Siobhan's boy!"

Bonus points if Grandma Siobhan just looks absolutely nothing like Steve.

"Arts 'N Crass" [S2 Ep01]

Fucking LOVED this episode cuz I 100% expected Daria's mom to side with the principle cuz she's the adult. It was refreshing to see a parent stand up for their kid instead of blindly siding with the fellow authority figure

It sounds adorable and a perfect little idea for a kid's show.

The new series follows a young Ariel and features fan-favorite characters, including King Triton, Ursula, Sebastian and Flounder, as well as exciting new additions. “Disney Junior’s Ariel” is set to debut on Disney platforms worldwide in 2024.

Driven by a deep and unending curiosity about the world around her, Ariel discovers land treasures, like a big floppy hat, squeaky rubber ducky and whisk, that she collects and keeps safe in her crystal cavern, the synopsis runs.

The treasures may also help Ariel solve problems. In a play that looks set to charm pre-schoolers, when she makes a discovery, Ariel is filled with joy, and her mermaid tail, “which changes colors depending on her emotions, lights up and shimmers.”(I smell the toy tie in)

“Full of charm, big ideas and a powerful voice, ‘Disney Junior’s Ariel’ is coming into her own, learning how to discover and appreciate the world around her and use her voice to inspire others,” the synopsis adds.

While I personally wanted a show for older audiences exploring more of the movie lore I think a cute show like this is wonderful. This is honestly surprising to see because I expected LA TLM to kind of vanish from the public as the other films did. Yet here we are getting a different version of Ariel separate from Halle and Jodi's (she posted about recording recently..wonder if this is what she was doing) version altogether! The character design is adorable and I think Disney Jr shows already were pretty loose on following main movie canons which will allow this to coexist with their other tlm works nicely.

Pay heed to Klaudia Amenábar's words! Don't let the executives weaponize fandoms. WGA Strong.

My guys it is starting to work, I've seen some people I know complaining about the writer's strike and turning against them because their favorite shows and/or movie got put on hold. Please do not be fooled like this, this is exactly what the corporations want. It can wait, I promise you will find other things to focus, but writers need this.

Reword every headline they put out. “Due to not wanting to give writers money, Marvel has shut down pre-production on…” You can end this strike any time you want to, pal.

"Marvel too cheap to pay writers, production shuts down"

"Disney too greedy to pay residuals, deletes shows/movies"

"Studios cut corners on safety, production values, writing, acting, etc. in order to make more money; won't share with anyone below CEO level"
