touching or pushing someone's mobility aid without their consent is assault. don't touch us, and dont touch our aids (which we often see as extensions of our bodies) unless we genuinely tell you it's okay. an unsure yes is a no. a yes under coercion is a no. either respect our boundaries or stay far, far away.

A 22 year old Iranian protestor is at risk of being sentenced to death. Please share.
22-year old Mohammad Qobadlu has been sentenced to death at his very first trial session, to which the court denied entry to his lawyers, and is imminent danger of execution, according to a video message released by his mother. HRANA reports Qobadlu was tried on Oct. 29 at the Public & Revolutionary Court of Tehran under Judge Salavati on charge of “corruption on earth.” Prosecutors allege he drove a vehicle into motorcycle-mounted law enforcement agents, killing one. Besides the grave due process violations mentioned by Qobadlu’s mother, lawyer Amir Raisian has raised violations and inconsistencies in the case: - No images exist depicting the incident, the collision, or the hospitalization of medical examination of the agents involved -Preliminary reporting did not mention head wounds to officers involved in the collision, but the deceased officer died of a strike to the brain and skull fracture. The extent to which hospital treatment may have contributed to the cranial injury is not mentioned. -The criminal complaint gives the cause of the officer’s death as a car collision, but lawyer Raisian’s sources indicate only a skull fracture - no bodily injuries - was detected. Special force officers typically wear helmets, moreover. -The forensic medical authority ascertained Qobadlu’s mental fitness / sanity only on the basis of his own statements, neglecting letters from prison authorities stating he was mentally “precarious.” -Authorities present at the mourning service for the deceased officer made comments that were “not consistent with the car collision death narrative” said lawyer Raisian.
Huge reminder:
Autism is not a monolith
Some mask, some don't, some do it only sometimes.
Some struggle with sounds, some don't, some move between.
Some have 25 special interests, some have 1, and some have none.
Some are hypersensitive, some are hyposensitive, some are both depending on the situation.
Some are disabled by their autism, some aren't, some only just manage.
Some have high needs, some have low needs and some don't think they need help at all.
It's not a solid foundation of "autism is these specific traits ONLY".
Adult stuff that Schools don't teach you, about work and dreaming
- Aim for the stars, NEVER give up on your dreams. You just need to learn how to make it a reality. Our time here is finite, the end result is the same for everyone. So, tell fear to go to hell and do whatever makes you feel like it's worthwhile been alive.
- Learn the most important skill ever: How to deal with difficult people. From minors inconveniences, to personality clashes, to narcissistic cunts with psychopathic tendencies who enjoys making everyone's life a living hell (mobbing). No school, college, university, trade school or whatever is gonna teach you this. IT WILL SAVE YOUR SANITY. Especially when you don't have the luxury of losing a job. So take advantage of some sweet internet and find resources about this. (Z Library is free and safe)
- Expand your skill set. Don't stick with only one thing, learn practical and technical stuff related to your line of work. For example: In film school everyone wants to be a director or a writer, which is great but it takes time, in the meantime learning about editing, sound, lighting, props, wardrobe, etc, can open many other doors. This will pay your bills while you're dreaming. So, take your time to analyze what skills are useful in your work and learn.
- Fuck the unpaid internship once graduated. It's slavery with pretty words. If you're still studying, you can (and should if you have time) participate in those unpaid projects, volunteer jobs, and all that; but never ever after getting your [title]. You are valuable, no matter what any company says, and you didn't spend countless hours of effort and sacrifice to not be paid. If you apply point number 3, you will gain experience while also getting money. No amount of experience is worthy. It's like influencers wanting to pay with exposure.
- Networking, 90% of the time it's not about your talent but who you know, no matter what kind of job you are doing. And I'm not necessarily talking about nepotism. Sometimes if you know a person they can say: "Oh yes, Clara is a friend and she's excellent at her job. You should consider her." Humans are social creatures, we value the opinions of those who we are friends with or respect. Don't be fake, just be nice and try to get to know your coworkers and people from your field. (There are also books about this if socializing isn't your forte)
(Feel free to reblog and add more stuff. We all know we need this 💀)
Reminder: you are not useless, boring or asocial if you choose to stay in during the weekend to rest, recover and recharge after a difficult week.
...when all that you can do is wait and watch.
it's frustrating and can make you anxious. remember that not everything is under your control and take it as a lesson on letting go.
we can't correct every situation. we can't always make it work and that's okay. that's normal. let yourself be.

It's okay to dislike being touched. It does not matter if they're your parents, siblings, friends, caretakers, family members, or anyone else. You are allowed to uphold your boundaries.
no, they don’t secretly hate you.
no, they’re not secretly working against you.
no, they aren’t mastermind lying to you.
be careful to not allow your anxiety and past trauma access to the controls so they can direct your thoughts down a dark path. whether this is about a significant other, your best friend, a family member, or anybody you have close to you and have a great bond with.. don’t let intrusive thoughts hammer down on it. people like you. they’re honest and open with you, cause they care about you. trust in that.
