Two hours and 13 insufferable minutes.
That’s how long the meeting at the tiny, local community centre has dragged out, inexplicably, when Jeb slowly reaches for JT’s thigh under the table.
Plainlo!!!! I've missed your writing and creative talent so much (don't hate me that I haven't read you're other fandom work.I can say I know they are just as great.) This was an INCREDIBLY hot drabble and had me hooked from the beginning. Ugh these two drive me insane in the most delicious way.
P.S. no pressure at all. If you were to complete the story I'd love to read the rest. ❤️

SPOILER WARNING FOR MIDNIGHT MASS IN THE SECOND PARAGRAPH. Story time! Yearssss again I had a bit of a manic stage where The Walking Dead was my obsessive fixation. My dad was the one to tell me about the show (because I love zombies) and I watched it since the first episode aired. I've always been "team" Rick until several season later when Negan came along. In the comic Negan's back story was more complexed and gave you a better idea of him as a character. Also though he's a dick it was certain morals he stood by that was what made him more appealing to me. Anywho, I remember watching the episode above where Rick was covered in blood and "going berserk" as I called it then and thinking it was such a hot scene.
Fast forward to 2021 after passing Midnight Mass several times on Netflix because vampires aren't my thing (I just find them to be boring) I finally watched it since I've heard good things and I really liked Mikes work. The sequences went as followed: started with a good storyline and a dash of jump scares. I was thankful I've never known a person like Bev and the new priest was an odd looking man. Then we get to the after math of Joes death and that poor little priest is tucked in the corner, covered in blood and pulling at my hearts. Finally, comes the scene where he's looking down at Reilly, shushing him and trying to calm him down when Hamish Eric Linklater locked me in.
TLDR: I'm not a vampire fan but something about men being covered In blood truly grabs my attention and I'm still in awe that the odd looking priest man name Hamish, turned out to be the hottest, (sweetest and genuine in real life) most talented man I adore today.

From experience: do not think about how exhilarated and terrified and happy and conflicted John had to be on hearing of Mildred's pregnancy. Do not think about his secret smiles as she attended Mass with an increasingly round belly and their secret safely inside. Do not think about him hearing she went to the Mainland to have her baby and fighting every instinct to follow. Or the first visit to St. Patrick's after Sarah was born. Just. Don't.

She had a nightmare, one of the worst in years.
She was back in church in Virginia. Everyone was waiting in line for the eucharist, but instead of dusty old Father Daniel with a handful of equally dusty crackers, it was Randall with his fucking pin nailer. Ruth stood beside him in a long white dress. A river of rust stained the fabric from waist to toes, and she held a chalice up to collect the blood spurting from the red ruin of her throat. One by one, the church-goers knelt before Randall with open mouths and eyes gleaming in ecstasy so he could drive a nail through their tongues. Ieva flinched at every ker-chunk, feeling an answering pain in her body. Several times she tried to leave the line, only to be forced back by Janine’s claw-like grip or a whack from Miriam’s cane.
When she reached the front, she had to be forced onto her knees. Randall grinned his awful, greasy smile while Ruth gurgled pitifully next to him.
“Hiya kid,” he said. Then he lined up the pin nailer between Ieva’s eyes and pulled the trigger.
