my favorite fucked up character concept is probably "what if a butterfly came out of its chrysalis too early"
you could have been something beautiful. but you panicked or got interrupted and instead something horrifyingly half-finished crawled out.

Gonna get myself a fun little surprise I guess
This is better than I'd ever hoped for, I bet a rat could kill you with that thing by firing a laser back in time and electrocuting your grandfather
Just look at this thing
The rat gun is hereeeeee!
This is getting notes again so I will admit that "rat gun" was an autocorrect error and it was supposed to be "ray gun."
But it'll always be a rat gun to me.
The most expensive thing in these pictures was the cat, and he was $60.
I'll be honest--I forgot that the pump organ desk/bar was visible in the background, and it was NOT under $60.
It was actually $75.
The chairs, however, were paid for in human life. I inherited them; they were originally my great grandmother's. But they're not particularly rare-- you can find these exact chairs without a lot of effort, in reasonable shape, for not that much money. They made a lot of them.

Hi you asked this question and I immediately went to the pottery studio to make a calcifer to put in my woodstove.
Will update if he survives the kiln.
i am still on tenterhooks vis a vis calcifer 🥺🥺🥺
I just brought him home from the pottery studio and wired him for light. He lives!!!!!
Today's Adventure is that I, after an unintentional 13-hour power nap,

OK so.
I love this story. ^^
Alguien me habló todos los días de mi vida
al oído, despacio, lentamente.
Me dijo: ¡vive, vive, vive!
Era la muerte.

lineart hard, and shading is scary, but practice makes perfect XP
i have a few resources i look to consistently but i'm gonna plug anatomy for sculptors as One Of The Most Useful. great if you're a 3D artist, INVALUABLE if you're a 2D artist. gives you turnarounds of specific limbs/fiddly body parts like ears. great especially if you're referencing a photo and start looking at an individual part like 'wait, what the hell is going on in there'
fucked up how colors look different depending on what screen you’re looking at them on. that should be illegal I think
this fucking shit, you know
I spend so much time carefully picking and adjusting the colors in every single drawing I make that I’d probably lose my mind if I didn’t just repeatedly push this out of my memory and pretend it’s not a thing. Why am I reblogging a blank empty post that doesn’t say anything??? Weird
good news! you can’t make sure that everyone will see the correct colors on their own device, but you can make sure your monitor is as accurate as possible for printing and sharing by calibrating it!
there are a bunch of free monitor tests, but here’s an easy one you can use. the passmark and eizo tests are also pretty good, though passmark doesn’t work in your browser. be warned that some tests may cause eye strain.
you can either use the settings built into your monitor itself or use the display color calibration settings in your operating system to adjust the settings until everything looks correct, and then enjoy your accurate colors.

I'm in love with how you draw Kon's hair, I tried searching if you did a tutorial for it and found nothing, so if you don't mind could you please give us some tips on how you draw it? Would love to try and draw something like it.
Ah thank you! Sorry for replying a couple days late but I made this very brief tutorial a long time ago
And then a lil video showing it…as you can see sometimes I erase and redo to make it have more volume. Even tho I change styles quite a bit the process is the same, I basically I pick a focal point or root point on the top of his head, and then just go ham with S and C shapes for the curls
And this is an old ask about the references I sort of look at when drawing the hair
:) hope this helped!
Also for some reason, I like adding these semi circle gaps in hair a lot
Probably reading too much into it but this video has always filled me with such indescribable longing. Like the climax of a sports movie where everyone else has turned away from our hero facing impossibly long odds except for the one die hard with his fists clenched whispering, “come on you son of a bitch, you can do it.” But “it” in this case is outrunning the toxic nightmare of urban sprawl. I want him to run so fast he breaks free from the things we’ve done to this world. I want him to clear the city limits and find the forests that don’t really exist anymore. To gambol and forage and rest in primeval bliss. I want him to make it.
Discarded drawings for a job I did where I had to show generalized style differences between different genres. My Art Tips collection is currently live on Kickstarter. Patreon
Hello, recently discovered you art (thanks to a new Kaveh and Alhaitham obsession) and it’s gorgeous. Would you mind if I asked what brushes/tools you use for your art? The black line art you one is so nice.
Hello tysm hehe 🫶🏻🫶🏻
So for program i use photoshop and sometimes procreate. Also heads up that I use sm brushes on 1 drawings and use different brushes on the next drawings coz i like experimenting so i intend to forgot what brushes i specifically use for some pieces ☠️
For linearts i use this brush but i modified it heavily on procreate n photoshop so it will act like gel pen
For procreate, i commonly use same brush set as photoshop (i’ll link them bellow) and 6b pencil brush from procreate (its a very good textured brush 😭☝️) and hard round brush that i modified w noise texture
For photoshop,
the brush set that I constantly use is from these packs (sometimes i modified them a lot it always change a lot sometimes)
*my friend gave me marco’s brush but u have to purchase it w his course vid to get the brush set
hate how all these apocalyptic films show society breaking down the hot minute the grid goes down, with all the survivors banding off into tiny violent gangs that prey on each other.
bitch you are a member of one of the most social species in existence! it is actually insane the extent to which humans have evolved to use cooperation as our main survival tool. humans have been building and then rebuilding societies for as long as disasters have been bringing them down. an apocalypse would be fucking awful, but the survivors would end up building communities and networks and pooling resources and knowledge, because that's what humans do. that's what they DO!!!
This is my biggest argument against most doomsday preppers. We have then everywhere out here, they come down from the mountains like once a year to get lottery tickets and buy underwear from Walmart.
These people think that the minute we don't have a stock market or police or a congress, we're going to descend into apeshit asshattery and start killing each other, so they literally hoard weapons and ammo.
Y'all, these guys can't even purify their own water and they think they are going to survive an apocalypse alone.
The loners are going to die. The preppers are going to die. You wanna know who isn't going to die? The community who strategically builds a safe space which includes food, walls, medical care, and a social structure.
Another random poll because they are fun and tumblr has given me too much power and I love looking at data.
Masc / fem here does not indicate gender; I just wanted it to be easier to understand for non-music people. If your range spans more than one of these, first of all I fear you but just pick whichever you prefer to sing in.
If you don't know your vocal range, you can test it here!
To do later when people are not sleeping
I'm currently doing an online art school program and I thought I'd share some notes on clothing pieces for anyone else whose like me and for some reason can't understand objects with free from lol I hope you find some of these observations/ notes useful for any of your art journeys!

Poor Grandma
this is seriously the one time I wish a video has sound.
Brilliant.
What the hell is this? :O
Me at 1000 years old
What do we say to the God of Death?
Not today.
I haven’t seen this post in YEARS so I forgot what it’s like. I nearly screamed.
Betty White when Death comes calling
Tried to find the original source (the vid description gives it… but are out of date or something)… Still, here it is, in full, with sound:
a) That is the creepiest Death I’ve ever seen in a moving format.
b) What the actual fuck did I just watch.
c) I’m always here for little old ladies curbstomping malevolent supernatural entities.
d) @pepperstrawberry is a HERO for finding and providing the full video.
Go grandma!
Hell yeah' more shitpost drawing studies'
I mostly to these scribbles/notes for myself, but sharing is caring and my brain simple won't acknowledge and comprehend how light works.
It's actually so simple doing shadows ( in theory ), still' i wanna rip and tear at my hair whenever i actaully have draw dynamic ones.
