Part 2. Of me loving/praising Game Peach:💕🥰
I just really love this line from Odyssey’s epilogue when she’s travelling and sightseeing with Tiara.
It’s actually really interesting but also unsurprising that Peach has trauma from Bowsers kidnappings, especially because he got so close to winning multiple times in the game.
And even though she was a damsel for the majority of the game, I LOVED seeing her put her foot down and not let herself be treated as a prize to be won, whether it was from Bowser OR Mario.
I think the game really demonstrates how forgiving and generally hopeful and optimistic Peach is. Not only does she not seem to hold the situation on the moon against Mario, but also tries to look past the ordeal by enjoying the moons beauty on her trip.
I think that’s what I love about Peach in most of her appearances, playable or not; she always tries to find the good in everything and everyone.
Like in subspace emissary in Smash Brawl when she doesn’t even hesitate to free Mr. Game & watch, despite him literally trying to kill them a few minutes ago.
She tells him off, but then she kindly offers him her parasol, literally her main weapon, as a sort of symbol for trust and being on good terms.

Im sorry but can I just rant for a second about how much I FREAKING LOVE Peach in LM3❤️💕:
First of all, for the third pic, I am manifesting the head canon of peach being a passionate homemaker and decorator for the castle in the Mushroom kingdom.
Also I was DYING when Toad made the crack at Peach for being so practical to the point of overpacking for the trip in the second pic.
Like, she’s a highly fashion-conscious princess, Odyssey already proved that, so it makes sense that she’d want to be prepared for any event that may go on at the resort.
And for the first pic, This really shows just how forgiving and considerate Peach is when she’s willing to help the people who supposedly aided in imprisoning her and her friends, by helping the ghosts rebuild the hotel.
Look at her in the hard hat using the drill MY GIRL HAS MANY TALENTS❤️😄
Even when your walking around exploring other peoples rooms, you can see that Peach’s parasol is bent and out in the open in her room, implying that she actually FOUGHT at first to prevent her capture.
Like, LM3 just added SO much personality and charm to the Mario cast, Peach included. So if we can defend Mario from the ‘MARIO HAS NO PERSONALITY’ hate group, then we better start doing the same for game Peach from now on.

What are your thoughts on how bowser was in the movie? Personally, I think he was great the way they interpreted him, like Lord Hater from wander over yonder.
I just would have given him way more screw time to balance his monstrous and lovesick side.
I LOVED Bowser in this movie! I thought the two sides of him were perfectly balanced. Only thing I would have changed is I would have liked a flashback for him like what Mario and peach got (so his line about finally being happy would hit harder)
Ikr, I always thought it be really funny/sweet if peach and Bowser were childhood friends at one point that just had a falling out. It would have made their dynamic so much more interesting if they had a dynamic or friendship before the films timeline, almost like an ‘it’s compilacted’ sort of thing.
Either that, or Peach and him are exes and peach only dated him when she was in her rebellious phase and Bowser just never grew up past his teenage years😂
(Peach secretly being a monsterfucker is probably the funniest version imo)
hwo would you write each of the main 4 characters in the Mario movie if you were writing the screenplay?

Honestly, in terms of their characterization/personalities, there's not a lot I'd change! I honestly love the additions this movie made to the whole Mario crew. The changes I'd make would mainly just be fixing up the pacing so we get more quiet relationship building moments. I'd like a little more background on what made Mario and Luigi decide to start their own plumbing business instead of working for Spike. I'd extend the scenes of Mario and Peach talking about life in the human world, more lingering shots to increase the chemistry between them. I'd probably have Peach be a little more sweet and demure (though not weak) and THEN give her a moment where she goes absolutely batshit and unleashes her full power. Would probably have her bake a cake too and have Mario give her one of his little bows at some point bc I'm just old fashioned like that. I'd just have Toad be in it more, and give him more interactions with Mario beyond the beginning of the movie. And I'd give Luigi his prison escape moment that we all wanted!
Yeah, I agree with almost all of what you just said.
I would have had peach act with a starfire-esque personality, with her being sweet and a little idealistic, at first wanting to use diplomacy to defeat bowser at first, but when things go awry, she just pulls out her parasol and goes apeshit on a bunch of koopas.
And yeah I would totally have Luigi start a prison escape and uprising with all the prisoners.
Ok so I said in a previous post that I’d talk about what my ideal cast of VA’s for the Mario movie would be, so I came up with afew ideas:
Luigi and Mario- good old Charles Martinet, there is literally no one else that I can picture voicing them.
And yes they will have beautiful and adorable Italian accents because FUCK YOU ITS WHAT THIS FILM DESERVES.
Bowser- Jack Black can stay, but I would pitch his voice down just a little more, and then it would be perfect. Plus I guess we gotta have at least one celeb in here for marketing.
Peach- peach’s voice was probably the hardest for me to choose from. But I came up with a lot of great voice actresses that can do a classic high pitched princess voice: Jodi Benson, Tara strong, Laura Bailey, Hynden Walsh, etc.
Toad- I also have quite afew ideas on who could voice toad. Keagan Michael key is doing a decent job, but I feel like he could be a little more raspy and higher. I think Michaela Dietz would be really good considering how well she did in distant lands, or even Richard Horvitz.
Donkey Kong- Patrick Warburton would fit DK 100%, Seth Rogens got nothing compared to Kronk.
I’d keep Kamek the same because Kevin Michael Richardson has amazing range and is qualified.

Dan Fogler as Mario and Rob Paulsen as Luigi
I think they have the voices and range to pull of the characters well, even if they aren’t Charles Martinet.
(And I have been considering on keeping Charlie Day as Luigi because his voice is really started to grow on me a bit)

Ok so I said I’d do a part 2 on my ideal Mario movie cast, but this time I’ll try to think of good voices for the side characters that’ll most likely be in there as well:
Cranky kong- I think Fred Armisen would be pretty good at playing a wisecracking old king, so he can stay. He convinced me of his voice talent in Wednesday with uncle fester.
Diddy and Dixie Kong- I saw them in the back of donkey Kongs poster, so I’m hoping we’ll see them as full characters in the movie.
If we do, I think Sarah Silverman would be good for Diddy, and Kristen Schall for Dixie. They’re both pretty good at playing annoying energetic kids.
Mayor Pauline- I think Grey Delisle would be best for Pauline, since she can do a low femme fatale voice as well as keeping it sounding professional and regal.
And in case of a sequel, I made my own cast for characters that will most likely show up in future instalments:
Wario- I always noticed that Wario sounded like an Italian Bender from Futurama, so I think John DiMaggio would be a great pick for him.
( sorry but I don’t think it would be a good idea for Charles to be voicing more than 2 characters in the film)
Waluigi- definitely Dan Povenmire, waluigi is basically just Italian Doofenshmirtz at this point.
Daisy- either Cree Summer or Jessica DeCicco, anyone that could pull of her spunky and rowdy personality.
Rosalina- surprisingly, Anya Taylor-Joy. I said before that she’s not a good fit for peach, but I think she’d be an amazing Rosalina. It definitely fits her mysterious and concealed demeanour that she has, as well as sounding powerful and majestic.

Ok imma be honest about the Mario movie cast.
I completely agree that Chris Pratt sounds pretty bad, and on top of that he doesn’t even seem that siked to be there.
(Like seriously wtf was up with that Nintendo direct it looked like he was trying to read cue cards behind the camera and had smoked weed prior to that)
But…I feel like if it wasn’t for the ‘political’ reasons for Chris Pratts hate, more people would be criticising Anya’s voice, or Charlie’s. They’re definitely not as bad as Chris, but they didn’t really sound amazing.
Charlie Day definitely has way more energy that Chris and Anya combined, but it doesn’t even seem like he’s trying the ‘Brooklyn accent’ that the bros supposedly will have. It just sounds like Charlie Day being Charlie Day.
Anya on the other hand, I may dislike her voice just as much as Chris’s. She just sounds like every generic white heroine in an illumination movie, with no flavour.
To quote Louise Belcher, when it comes to Peach’s voice:
“If she was a spice, she’d be flour, and if she were a book, she’d be 2 books.”
I’m also so fucking worried they’re gonna go the space jam 2 Lola bunny route and make have no real character traits or personality other than, ‘strong woman’ and ‘girl boss’.
I feel like the only actors I actually like are Keagan Michael key and Jack Black, mostly because they’re characters actually have resemblance to their game counterparts, but also because they have energy and Charisma when it comes to cartoony roles.
Long story short, when the movie comes out, I’ll probably just imagine what they’d sound like with my ideal cast of VA’s, which I’ll probably post about later. (;
I HAVE AN URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE SLY COOPER FANDOM.
ALL SC FANS MUST READ THIS IF THEY HAVE ANY HOPE FOR THIS FRANCHISE.
Ok so we all know that the Sly movie as well as the sly tv show are pretty much dead in water, with the sly movie being canned in 2016, and the tv show being announced in 2019 but never having any more announcements or teasers or Any further information, so we can all assume that it’s pretty much dead too.
But to those who have not lost all hope, if they don’t have the guts to pull off a good series adaptation of SC, I WILL MAKE AND WRITE IT MYSELF.
I am an aspiring screenwriter who has taken multiple courses and have moderately good ideas IIDSSM. I’m not kidding, if they don’t do it, I will. So we might as well should stop asking and pestering Sony for the series or the movie because we can all agree that from what we saw, it wouldn’t even be good anyway. I have been a fan of this series for 2 years and love it with every fibre of my being. If I made the sly series, it would be one for the fans to enjoy and gush over, and for my own satisfaction.
Also sorry if I sound entitled or overconfident it’s just that I love this series so much, and I don’t want to see it die a slow death or have it badly adapted by people who don’t know what they are doing with it. I’m not saying I’m the master expert at the series, but I love and treasure it, and that all I need as motivation.

I love (and by that I mean kinda hate) how when people are comparing Rise Apritello to 2012 Apritello they say, “in Rise, April and Donnie are actually good friends and do things together, while in 2012 all Donnie did was simp for and stalk April,” as if they forget that in 2012 Donnie and April were genuinely best friends and had fun together too. It’s shown both in the show, and if you read the adventure comics that are supposedly canon events in the show, April and Donnie try street foods together and sneak to the junkyard. April even went out of her way to buy him a boom box for his tape that he made because he couldn’t go up to the surface to buy one himself. They analyse sewage together and there’s a picture of them hanging out at the park in Donnies room,
I’m just puzzled how people don’t realise how similar these friendships actually are…
