[I have gathered here a series of quotes from Picasso that seem to me to say much more about art and artists than any historian can.]

 I love it as my only life purpose. Everything I do in relation to art gives me the greatest joy. But for this very reason I don’t understand why the whole world is scrambling art, pretending to see its credentials and giving free rein to its own folly on this issue. Museums are nothing more than a bunch of lies, and the people who trade in art are mostly cheaters. "
