As an American, I take things like elections very seriously. What I witnessed tonight was nothing short of a disaster. Joe Biden was extremely well spoken, had facts to back up each of his statements, and kept his composure in a professional capacity. Donald Trump, the current president of the United States, looked like an overtired orange baby. He had nothing of substance to say, choosing to focus instead on lying about everything.
More importantly, the current sitting president called for white supremacist groups to "watch the polls" which is extremely illegal.
I will say, Biden telling Trump to shut up was a beautiful moment. Also, extremely overdo.

I'm not going to lie, when the campaign started I had the briefest hope for a Widowmauk ship. It sank. Horribly. Painfully. Despairingly.... I'm mostly over it.

I have a theory. The purple tiefling walking through the snow is both Molly and Lucien. I think, somehow, Cree managed to remind Molly who he was previously. OR Molly never actually forgot and is a damn good actor. We had what, 25 episodes with him? Who the hell knows if he was telling the truth about not knowing anything.
I do know, though, that the reunion between Molly/Lucien/whomever and Yasha will be painful. I think Yasha, Jester, and Fjord still carry guilt over being captured. If they do, it seems logical that they would also feel some guilt over Molly dying since it happened on a rescue mission for them.
I cannot wait to see what happens! Between Beaus amazing connect-the-dots conspiracy talks to Aeor and the creepy Astral city and Vess being shady af.
One last thing... the freaking mirror over Beaus bed and Yashas reaction to it!!
Why are folks harassing Marisha, AGAIN, for playing Beau in her absolute element?! The fandom seems to always want to hate on Marisha, no matter what she does or how she plays. I, for one, was riveted by her putting everything together in peak expositer form. Parts of the CR fanbase annoy me so much. I wont even watch with the chat open because of the asshats. Matt says "Dont forget to love each other" weekly, yet there are some who still refuse to spread kindness.
September 21, 2020 - Ron Cobb, best known for being the production designer for several major films, has died at 83 years of age. Cobb brought to life several cantina creatures for Star Wars (1977) and came up with weaponry and sets for Conan the Barbarian (1982), the exterior and interior of the Nostromo ship in Alien (1978) and the earth colony complex in Aliens (1986), and the DeLorean time machine in Back to the Future (1985).
More interestingly, to me at least, is that in the 1960s and 70s he was a great radical political cartoonist, and sadly, many cartoons of those days are still just as relevant today. A small selection:

Random encounter: The Vulture House
“ Oh Look, a cabin! Finally we can stop walking around these damn woods! Lets get inside quickly, I’ve had the weirdest feeling something’s been following us the past little while”
Setup: The result of some cruel haunting or fey curse, the Vulture House appears without warning in isolated patches of wilderness, situating itself in the past of lost travelers as it seeks to entrap the desperate across its deadly threshold
Those who enter the Vulture house find it well stocked if a little worn down, the remnants of a once happy life left forgotten, firewood that catches quickly in the hearth, and a larder full of preserves and other hardy foods that could be feasibly still edible after the cabin’s abandonment.
Sleep comes deep and easy in the Vulturehouse, as the threadbare furniture is well stuffed and the rooms circulate a relaxing, almost bathlike warmth when the fire is lit. Those who remain attentive will notice windows disappearing, rooms growing subtly smaller, until eventually those that fell into unconsciousness will awake to find whatever furniture they happened to be resting on being slowly crushed by the now casket-like walls. While the cursed cottage may subdue it’s prey through trickery, it wants their last moments to be ones of terror as they are slowly squeezed to death or bled out on a multitude of splinters.
Further adventures:
- Those that hew their way out of the vulture house find themselves pursued by a shrieking construct of barn-wood and joinery, hunting them through the sky on great creaking wings before attempting to crash down on its prey with all the force of a building’s collapse
- Even if it is slain or burned to its foundations, the vulture house will return. The only way of undoing the curse that animates it is to travel DEEPER into the house, climbing a secret hatch in the narrow stairway into the extra dimensional architecture of the vulture house in hopes of finding its heart. This heart is a ritual room, in which a mummified avian corpse lays in a spell circle with a ritual dagger pinning it to the wood. Removing this dagger renders the cottage mortal, but the enterprising cursebreaker must then contend with a vengeful structure they’ve worked their way to the center of.

honestly shout out to Marisha fucking Ray who dealt with so much shit during campaign 1 and never once backed down. bc like. it’s not news in the fandom that there are a bunch of misogynists in the early chat and comments sections. that’s like one of the first things I learned about campaign 1. people post warnings in the comments of those early G&S videos. it’s common knowledge: here there be assholes, and a ton of them are going after Marisha/Keyleth
but then cue Marisha just fucking taking all of it, and never changing how she plays Keyleth, and never changing how she acts around her friends. Marisha who specifically calls out haters in her first Keyleth playlist and who makes an offhand sarcastic remark about how ‘the internet is super welcoming toward women’ in a promo for Signal Boost. Marisha fucking Ray who says in her BtS interview that she could take the hate as long as it didn’t hurt anyone else. that it wasn’t being on the receiving end that bothered her the most–it was seeing other women hurt and afraid and turned off from nerd culture
Marisha Ray who took everything that toxic internet, nerd, and fandom culture threw at her and threw it right back because she knew that there were other women and girls out there watching her, and if she doesn’t back down maybe they’ll see that they never have to, either

Does your last name sound anything like Lopez, Martinez, or Rodriguez? Mine does. When I saw this post I checked my voter registration status online with my state. Despite registering just three months ago, I was no longer registered to vote, and I did not receive my ballot. If you live in a mail-in voting state and you didn’t get your ballot, contact your county election official/county clerk for a replacement.
Make sure you check with your state’s voting site as well. I just had the shit scared out of me because that website said I was registered, but when I checked my state’s site (and made sure I had the right county selected) it said I was registered.
It’s worth checking your state’s site every few months anyway (especially when any election is coming up).

Texas is definitely purging voters. They’re also making it harder to re-register if they purged you. I hate that this is true, but POC will need to check and check frequently to stay registered in Texas.
College students, too. In the 2014 election, I had to vote in San Marcos, and I can’t tell you how many Texas State students were turned away because they didn’t cross all the t’s and dot all the i’s on getting their registration transferred and current.
i use a site called TurboVote run by a nonprofit that sends me reminders based on where im registered to vote before every election. it sends me an email to remind me to check my registration, to apply for absentee ballots, etc. it’s helpful so that you can check if you’ve been purged regularly (and participate in the local races that never get any publicity); https://turbovote.org/
Please register and check with your town/city hall often to make sure you are still registered. Please vote.

- Briggs, Briggs, and Bridger: run by a polyamorous triad: Briggs and Briggs are an orc and a dwarf, respectively, while Bridger is an elf. their bed and breakfast hosts drag shows every other Friday night and their crepes are to die for.
- The Nestled Trollhouse: tucked under a woodland bridge, the Nestled Trollhouse is run by one exhausted, overworked troll named Greg. His true passion is baking, and he is always trying out new chocolate-chip cookie recipes. Tastings are free of charge. They’re usually burnt.
- Inn & Out: has a Fantasy Yelp page, everyone is talking about it, and the food is incredible–like, five Fantasy Michelin Stars–but it’s so popular it’s always booked solid. they have an open reservation for the honeymoon suite in eight months.
- Wyrd Sisters Hotel and Casino: founded by a trio of witches five centuries ago, but you’re pretty sure no one with magical power actually runs the place anymore. the desk clerk offers to read your palm while you wait for the bellhop but she always predicts “big winnings in your future.” Each room is decorated with a different Major Arcana card motif.
