Sorry about the lack of art posts lately ...
I'm still very fond of Jaskier and Henry!Geralt and of course, the great geraskier ship. I've been drawing them. This absolute fiasco with AI image generation, though, is just ... 🫤 I can't believe that mere months ago, AI could only produce horrific amalgamations, but can now emulate numerous artist styles and potentially destroy the futures of countless digital artists. Even I feel discouraged about publicly posting new art, lest it be scrapped for AI training.
But ... it's occured to me that I have nothing much to worry about--as long as I draw hands and feet in the new art. 🤟😂 I suppose I'll draw our favorite bois in full figure, fine art nude pieces or something and cover their naughty bits just enough to be able to post the art here. What a time to be alive, eh?
Looks like reviews for the prequel are coming out. If the other reviews are like this, it's ... not good. There is only one mention of Jaskier--I'll put it under the "keep reading" cut, but it doesn't reveal much about him, if at all.
When you check NX's accounts to see reactions for the trailer to the sequel series ... and all the posts are hijacked by another fanbase to renew their show. *sigh* And the very few comments about the sequel are just former viewers saying they don't care about NX Witcher anymore because Henry's gone. *sigh*
It was nice to see a certain beloved big-mouthed boi again though. 🥺❤️ Even if it was just for 2 seconds in the semi-darkness.

If you don't want a desktop version of the software with an AI image generator, you have until December 6 to download the last pre-AI version.
I have no idea if the phone/tablet versions can be stopped from updating, or if you can rollback. You can read more about version 1.13 and the AI image generator feature in it here.
No joke, I feel just like Jaskier in that scene about a certain other social media platform crashing and burning due to greed, politics, and other nasty things. But! Here we are, doing what we've always done each time a purge happens: finding another place in the vastness of cyberspace to rebuild, to go on, to be wonderfully weird in our own spaces.
