just a guy who has a blog, and is an engineer of ghostly objects. aka jobless

y’know, i played a lot of games, and i’ve gotta say, as someone who cares about story in games a lot, we need more games where the story is compelling, but the protagonist is just a little gremlin who does whatever the fuck they want. you wanna root around in the trash cans like a raccoon looking for treasure? sure why not, hell we’ll give you an award to show off you did this. wanna relax in a wood closet and attack the room service dude for the hotel you are in because you wanna pretend he’s a devil plaguing the hotel? sure go right ahead! talk about fight club when you aren’t supposed to? GO TALK ABOUT IT TO THE ENTIRE WORLD TO KNOW ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!

so i just had a new fantasy book/game/show idea. i call it, “the impatient hero” essentially, this person gets summoned to a fantasy world, (or isakaid, or whatever you want) to be a hero. he is sat down to learn about the reasons why the fight is happening, what they need to do to stop some big cataclysm and other stuff, but they just zone out for almost all of it, and then get their party members and move forth, impatiently going through all of it. eventually they make it to the first bosses lair, and they make it to the chamber where they await, he starts to give some exposition, but the hero attacks him, and the person standing in front of them turns out to be an illusion. they berate the hero for being rude, but he just tunes them out. eventually them come in with a giant ass robot and attack the party because of the hero’s impatience, saying that he normally would have done an honorable duel, but decided to use this ancient machine he found instead. the party is forced to fight the robot, and eventually, after exhausting everything they have, beat it, but the real first boss chastises the hero for not listening to him, and curses him to view everything slower as punishment. the hero is also cursed to become forced to actually pay attention to the stuff around him, and is essentially stuck in a loop until he can answer the first bosses questions about whatever conversation he was in. (he is always telepathically asking about what is happening to ensure the hero pays attention, and is watching always.) like a questionnaire. ex: what did the innkeeper lose? unless the hero answers: her favorite piece of jewelry he would be unable to move on from the conversation. at the end, it is revealed all this is actually punishment in hell for the man who did go through what was this world before, impatiently, and essentially doomed it by not listening, and moving forward to do what he felt needed to be done.

so, i just thought of a weird idea. well i had this idea for a while but... anyways, so its an elseworld story idea for dc, where after the whole thing with the reverse flash coming back and seeing he was barry alan’s worst enemy, he created a paradox where barry alan never became the flash, and to fix things, he was the flash this time. except his hatred for barry alan still persisted, so he essentially artificially made barry alan hate him, or rather the flash, to the point barry alan becomes the reverse flash. and eobard thawne straight up then created a device to steal barry’s power before this cause he knew this would happen, and he used it, looked like the big hero, but he did a villain monologue to barry while he was rotting in some special prison cell, telling him all about him as the flash, how he went back in time to prevent this and he became the flash himself, and all that other stuff and essentially, stole his life right out from under barry alan without him never knowing. and that’s where it ends. edit: it was brought to my attention that eobard actually loves the flash and only became the reverse flash cause “its the only way he’ll spend time with me” so... elseworld where eobard genuniley hated barry alan.

i need help

sooo i have a bit of a problem with ocs nowadays.... it used to be stuff like:

Chalky: a female Majin (dbz) who wears horrendously mismatched and colored clothes who thinks she looks fashionable and is overall a nice person and brilliant tactician in combat unless you insult her clothing choices or friends, at which point she will want to destroy you as efficiently as possible.

Chara Rei: another female majin and Chalky’s best friend/roommate that works with her in the time patrol, she is the brawn to Chalky’s brains, (not saying she’s weak, but Chara Rei is on a completely different level with strength alone) but not overly dumb either, just super reckless. is a big tomboy, but a sweetheart who hates bullies.

Chalky used more tactical skills like solar flare and binding with her body, and Chara Rei used her pure majin form and stuff like the azure dragon blade used by goku black. buuuuuutttt now its more like: May Demonslayer: a human female adventurer who is one of the kindest and most respectful people you will ever meet. she almost always refers to people as lord, lady, or young master after being raised by the demonslayer family as an adopted daughter/maid after her family was brutally killed in front of her after a man tried to kidnap may due to her latent psychic powers. (they laid mostly dormant until she was 15) (she was 12 when she witnessed her parents murdered). she was told to always treat people with as much respect to ensure respect in return, but doesn’t take crap from anyone who doesn’t give any respect to or hurts others. she uses heavy armor and either a magical greatsword, or a shield and a magical warhammer, alongside her psionic abilities to fight, but is much more

The Drifting Reaper: a former bounty hunter/mercenary/criminal turned one of the devil kings best soldiers, and a general. they hide their face and most of their body, making it unclear what they mostly look like underneath all that they wear. hell aside from a few people, not many even know their gender or background and lived. they had a very shitty childhood, when they developed the mark of the reaper, an unholy mark that forced them to either kill and take the life force of other beings, or perish at a young age. but they worked as a hunter, so for the most part, they were fine. until a very close friend/rival found out about the mark, and they were outed and their family and them beaten and bloodied but the townsfolk, despite their protests and assurances they weren’t some horrid monster. eventually they fought back and killed everyone in the village after the villagers went too far, screaming about how they were all monsters and would pay. after working as what was mentioned above and drifting around, not trusting anybody she found a home, and people she could call friends.

its now hard to write characters with little to no trauma...

I tweeted this Tumblr screenshot from @one-time-i-dreamt at Elizabeth Banks bc I thought she'd get a kick out of it, being Effie Trinket and also writing Cocaine Bear, and she retweeted it!

I didn't even think she'd see it, let alone acknowledge it! OTID, you're famous!

OH MY GOSH

AND I JUST SAW COCAINE BEAR TOO AND I LOVED IT

hmmm... now i know what my dnd group will encounter next....

ok another fantasy story idea i had... so its a world where like 1 out of every 10 people develop some special mark on their hand, first visible in early childhood, 5/6 years old. this mark is seen as some divine mark or some shit and gives them additional abilities. youve got pretty standard stuff like mark of the warrior, mark of the mage etc. but then theres the stuff seen as the cursed marks. like the mark of the demon, which gives you great strength physically and magically, but also changed your appearance to have demonic horns and a tail. and our protagonist, has the mark of the reaper. one of these cursed marks. the reaper mark gives a minor boost to every attribute, and limits the bearers lifespan to 12 years. but you gain attributes and lifespan rather easily by killing other living beings. and humans give the biggest boost to strength and lifespan. the protag is abandoned by their parents after developing this mark, and has to hide its existence. they live as a hunter in the woods until they are found at like 13 by a group of people who they are then adopted by. they then grow up to be a knight and are well respected and no one questions them about not showing their hands off. hell they even meet up with another person in the royal family with a cursed marl who is in a similar situation to them. until one day something big attacks the kingdom they swore to protect and then kill it but the mark of the reaper is shown off to the whole kingdom. afterwards they are ostracized by everyone who one held them in high regard, and it seems like the kingdom just hates them now. well except the royal person who was also born with a cursed mark. she berates the people of the kingdom for not accepting the knight, and reveals they have one as well. this backfires however and the two are now on the run and the kingdom is in even more chaos as a result. more stuff happens but i haven’t really thought that up yet.

so i had an idea for a fantasy thing... maybe a novel, maybe a show, might work as a video game... so basically, you’ve got these people who are oppressed right? they then start a rebellion, and get a lot of support, and are closing in on the place where the government is, ie a kings castle for this, but it could be anything. then a dude shows up, saying he’s some hero of legend, and starts slaughtering many of the oppressed people, and uses some power to power up armies that he leads. the leader of the rebellion and some of their closest subordinates then take a last stand and the leader casts a spell or something to make a gigantic barrier that makes it so that their people and some of the other folks supporters are kept safe. everyone left outside the barrier dies defending this, and the leader takes a last stand to take as many of them down with em. cut to a few hundred years later, and the barrier begins to weaken. the leadership inside wants to try and make peace with the outside world, but the other folks just attack them on site. however, the outside has grown far weaker, and it seems like an easy win, until some other jackass calling himself a legendary hero comes in to kill people and lead armies he uses his power to strengthen them too. then the war leaves very few survivors afterwards on both sides, and the new leader of the formerly oppressed people, decides “fuck this, i’m casting a spell to make the first wars defeat never happened” and they do, and they need to fight in the past to ensure that the future changes for the better hopefully. also the old hero and new hero are also fighting there too.

its late at night, i woke up in the middle of the night because my mom wanted me to call her phone. i’m taking a bath to try and relax, and working on my homebrew modern fantasy style dnd campaign. i’m running out of ideas for it, HELP!

so... i got 20 like as of now on the post where i said i ate the miners pie... should i post the recipe? i do wanna share it... buuuuutttt wotc may ask me to take the post down considering how evil they’ve been lately... on the bright side, i’ve learned how to play pathfinder 2e from that.

so... i had an idea for an action rpg, not sure if its been done before, probably has... but anyways you start off in a typical fantasy setting in as the “heroes” are now fighting against the demon lord or whoever the “bbeg” is, fighting in their castle, you fight your way through waves of enemies that are quite weak compared to your characters, and they are making snarky comments about how weak the enemies are, how they can’t wait to be famous, or how the big hero can’t wait to become the new king or whatever. just being general assholes. you then get to the chamber where the last boss lay, they enter, and a cutscene plays where the heroes declared they will defeat the villain, and they fight and defeat the “bbeg” a snippet explains after the “bbeg” died, the country where the “bbeg” ruled over is now part of the the “heroes” country and now you, as a pretty ordinary member of the “bbeg” nation, struggle to make ends meet at the constant abuse from those of the “heroes” nation naturally from birth. eventually someone close too you is taken as a slave for a nonexistant debt by one of the “heroes” and you have had enough and rally up a resistance to kill the “heroes”

wait! i just realized i could show my shitpost i made on facebook a while ago. ready heres the summary. are you familar with kogasa tartara from touhou? well i believe she may be a big reason why people seem to be so fascinated with turning objects into anime girls. she is an umbrella turned into an anime girl, and i would not be surprised to learn if merryweathery (the biggest name in this phenomenon) was in fact a touhou fan.
