I did—I can’t remember if I reblogged this specifically, but some other posters and I had a conversation on one of my posts about how you can, at least, delete the app off your phone. But the way Threads works—and honestly, when I thought back, I realized that I already knew this—is that it’s using your Instagram account to log into the Threads site. Your Instagram account IS your Threads account.

I am not deeply attached to my Instagram; I mostly use it to lurk, and I have an alt. If I have to delete the whole thing down the line, I will. Don’t get on Threads without considering that.

There needs to be way, way more of a conversation about how being unable to drive in America means you don’t get to participate in society. That shit is genuinely life ruining. My neuro shit has kept me from driving my whole life and it’s always meant I can’t go do stuff I want to, I can’t get the trade jobs I know I’d be good at, I can’t even see the people I want to.
