When I play as a mage Hawke, I always go with the rival route with her because of that. Hawke helps Aveline run from the darkspawns in the prologue, and that ungrateful bitch doesn’t even let Carver prove his worth. She makes a perfect rogue with such a stab in the back.
The worst part is that she complains to Hawke that Carver is working together with him/her, or something like that.
