Since that political shitpost I made while half drunk seems to have gained me 30 followers in the past day I say: Welcome! Hope you realize that post is not typical of this blog’s content and enjoy my deep thoughts™ about how Jonathan Sims has never done anything wrong in his life, ever, and how ashamed I am that I’ve spent a nonzero amount of time fantasizing about fucking Elias Bouchard.
Ballister without his armor????
There’s no way this is unintentional:
because once everyone sees you as a villain, that’s what you are.
I was on my way when I saw your lights in the sky. They’re gone now. Oh. They’re not gone. They’re just hiding.

I hate that planned obsolescence is starting to reach fandoms. I hate that fandoms are starting to die after two, three years, I hate that whenever you stop getting content that means the fandom will die and be gone.
I need people to stop trying to brush off old interests as being 'cringe' as soon as you lose interest, or worse: make it seem like it's imoral to like something that they themselves held so dear before.
Fandoms are meant to last for years and years, the moment content stops being created is the moment we truly thrive because we keep creating the content ourselves the way we love it and expand on the things that are already there for us.
I don't care if you lost interest on something, it's fine and normal even, but stop trying to blame and make fun of people who still do love the fandom and the content and the things we can create.
I need people to enjoy fandom again
Me and the 20+ year old princess tutu fandom continuing to hold fandom exchanges, rewatch, make merch and support each other, write fanfic and make art, and we will continue to:
Enjoy your fandom.
Found another idiotic accounting mistake from my predecessor that I have to fix and I was like "WILL THE SPECTER OF THAT MAN'S INCOMPETENCE EVER CEASE TO HAUNT ME" and my coworker was like "Why do you talk like that"
Who the fuck is Jon Sims
“The average US president has been charged with 1.54 felonies” factoid isn’t true. The average US President has been charged with 0 felonies. Donald trump, who has been charged with 71, is a statistical outlier and should not have been counted
S5 Martin interacting with S1 Jon vs S4 Jon interacting with S1 Martin
I'm sorry for my sins. (no I'm not)
get it? 'cus his name is Jon? I'm so funny.
I hate it when my coworker is bandaging my wounds and I can no longer deny being in love with him >:/
Season 3 jmart request from @also-crit20lesbian this was really really fun thank you!!
[Image ID: A digital drawing of Jon and Martin from the Magnus Archives. The drawing depicts Jon and Martin stood facing each other in a dark room, lit only by a window in a door behind them, while Martin bandages a wound on Jon’s hand. The drawing is entirely in blue scaled aside from the light from the window, which is a pale yellow, and the blood on Jon’s bandages, which is bright red. Jon is on the left side of the image. He is a short, thin, south Asian man with shoulder length hair that is tied in a half bun. He has many small, round scars on his cheek and temple, and one by the corner of his mouth. He is wearing a dark sweater, and has short facial hair. There is a bloody bandage around his neck, and another around his right hand. His left hand is curled against his chest, and his right hand is extended out in front of him as Martin is bandaging it. He is looking up into Martin’s face with a sad and longing expression. Martin is on the right of the canvas. He is a tall, fat white man with short hair. He is wearing a dark sweater and round glasses. He has patchy stubble. He is cradling Jon’s right hand in his left hand and wrapping a bandage around it with his right. He is looking down at Jon’s hands with a concerned expression. The edges of their faces, hair and hands are lightly illuminated by the yellow light from the window behind them. End Image ID]

They also usually have free wifi. One of the few places you can use the wifi without being expected to buy something.
If you’re looking for a quick, simple way to get politically active on a local level, this is HUGE! Support your public libraries - especially if you live in an area where your right to read is under attack.
libraries also often have free printing resources, discounted museum/nearby attraction tickets (i.e. I live near a zoo + iirc my library has discount zoo tickets), cheap or FREE movie showings, career services, resources for small businesses, language learning classes, + other hobby-type classes. hell, I learned how to crochet there when I was a kid and I still love to do it! + if your library doesn’t offer something you’re interested in, they are often very open to hosting new activities + clubs as well as getting materials from outside sources.
a lot of libraries act as a community beacon so it is genuinely in everyone’s best interest to get involved with their local library even if you just have a library card.
100% the best way to support your local library is to use it, in any capacity.
Just getting a card and never using it, sure! Or take out some books, some DVDs, some audiobooks. Use online services like Libby/Overdrive and Hoopla, which have books, magazines/periodicals, audiobooks, movies, I don’t even know what else. Get materials sent over from another branch. (This is super useful in helping us figure out what kinds of stuff to buy!) Use the public computers. Use their wifi. Borrow some board games. Talk to the librarians.
Come in for their programming. My library hosts a weekly knitting group, a monthly Lego club, a monthly cookbook club (basically a themed potluck), regular storytime and playtime for babies and toddlers, plus tons of one-off programs like button-making, Nerf wars, Christmas crafts, a dinosaur-themed escape room, all kinds of stuff. We also have monthly take-and-make kits, which are crafts kids can do at home. I cannot emphasize enough how much everyone loves the take-and-make kits.
All of that stuff goes toward our stats, which the library manager takes to the town when it’s time to make the case for our budget.
So yeah, the best way to support your local library is to use it.
You can also ask your library to buy books they don’t already have – the library website should have a page called “materials requests” somewhere. Even if they decide not to buy it, you can usually use Interlibrary Loan to get them from another library system.
Many libraries also have Maker Spaces with equipment like 3D printers, Cricut machines, sewing machines, and digital media equipment (my library has a lab with adobe creative suite and photography equipment)
