Danny needs to go somewhere cold to practice his ice powers. He accidentally stumbles upon the Fortress of Solitude. He tries to phase through the door and an alarm starts blaring. Oh fuck.

Danny couldn’t stop the momentum and by the time he got his bearings again he was already through the door. Damn his slippery control on his powers while in human form and damn his need to be in human form to take a cool selfie in the Arctic.

In front of him stood a short corridor towards a bigger room. It didn’t seem like this was the main entrance, since there was little trace of the passage being used often. Danny looked around to try and identify where the alarm was coming from when a female voice came from within the building.

“Kon, is that you? Did you forget to come through the main entrance again?”

In panic, Danny looked around as he tried to find someplace to hide. Spotting a large mound of ice, he dove behind it and tried to stay as still as possible.

“I know you’re here, Kon. Stop playing around.” The voice was closer now and Danny made himself smaller as he pressed his back against the ice.

“I said-” started the voice right beside him before stopping abruptly. Danny slowly turned his head to meet sharp blue eyes looking straight at him. “And who might you be?” asked the blonde woman with a big “S” on her chest as she crossed her arms.

Danny opened his mouth and a second later, closed it back up not knowing how to explain his presence. The woman gave him a pointed look before she frowned. In a blink, she was a few inches away from his face. Danny stopped breathing as she examined him carefully. A few seconds later she retreated back to a normal distance and sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

“Why does Clark never tell me about new clones?” She started. “All I need is a quick ‘heads up Kara, not-evil clone coming your way!’” She made an exasperated gesture. “I almost beat up Kon when I first met him, what did he think I was going to do to-” She looked at him, “what’s your name?”

“Danny,” the halfa provided, unsure what to do with himself.

“Well it’s nice to meet you Danny,” she said. “Though I’m sure you would’ve liked a better introduction, stupid Clark,” she mumbled to herself before gesturing at him to get up. “If you’re here it means Batman’s already vetted you. Have you met Ma and Pa yet?”

“No,” answered Danny, having no idea what was happening anymore.

“No?” Exclaimed the woman. “What the heck is Clark thinking?”

Danny just stood uncomfortably, deeply unsure of what he was supposed to do. The woman seemingly did not notice as she grabbed his hand and dragged him through the building.

“Can you fly?” She asked as they made their way out.

“Uh-” Danny managed to get out.

“Probably not yet, right?” She said, compassionately. “Alright, you’ll just need to hold on tight, I’ll get us there in a moment.”

And with that they reached the door and stepped outside. In a second the woman wrapped her arms around his middle like Danny was a misbehaving cat and with a jump, they were off.

“Don’t worry Danny, Ma and Pa will love you.”

If you think about it, Buck and Eddie are slowly trying to one up each other. In this brief thesis, I shall list the ways.

Eddie : Ouch. I've been shot, and my helicopter crashed.

Buck : LOL hold my beer. Gets blown up and crushed by a fire engine.

Eddie : That's nothing. Gets buried alive and almost drowns.

Buck : Hey look what I can do! Climbs train car and almost gets smooshed.

Eddie : Oh, look.....I appear to have been shot again. Are you hurt? Proceeds to almost die.

Buck : What was.......Zap. Dead. Not dead. Coma

DP X DC PROMPT: Damian's quest to get a dog (the boyfriend that comes with is a nice bonus)

Damian is fuming as he listens to John Constantine's lecture on the Infinite Realms. He asked to get another dog and his father refused - citing that he already has too many pets and he has to be responsible for all of them, his siblings cannot help -, then forced him to attend a stupid meeting about the Ghost King's coronation which prompted an overview of the different types of ectoplasmic entities. He's much less angry about it when Constantine tells them about ghost animals. Damian knows what he has to do: if he can't have another dog, then he can summon one.

He's not expecting for it come attached to its owner. Or for said owner to be so beautiful.

Or for said owner to be the Ghost King, and just not mention it until they’ve been on seven dates and Dami has bonded with his dog

The coronation is expanded to allow the Ghost King’s current consort to bring his family to attend

Damian brings every single pet to spite his dad
