Thinking about this person who told me they discovered "an indie artist from the 70s" and when I asked who it was they said "Billy Joel"

I was thinking about Carry On Hawkeye and how Margaret says "he's very sick" when Hawkeye calls her a friend and all-around good egg, but she worries about him when he gets sick and smiles at his stupid joke after he leaves.

And then I was thinking about Margaret telling Henry maybe if there wasn't a war and they were all civilians they could be friends.

Margaret likes them. Even in the beginning. She likes them, but she's thrown her lot in with the Army and with Frank, who represents the Army. And she believes in it. She believes they need military discipline to function effectively. Of course she does; she was raised in it. And she admits herself later on she's not very open person. We see it with the nurses; she struggles to open up and comes across as hostile.

But she likes them. That's there from the beginning.
