The Wolves of Avalar TV Tropes
A/N: This fanmade tropes will contain some spoilers on Misterie and is going through the planning stages. This is all written down for fun. Please enjoy.
A neighbouring village that houses a tribe of anthropomorphic wolves of various breeds in the Valley of Avalar. Despite Malefor’s rise, the wolves still live peacefully with the Dragons and are apart of their valuable allies. They had once lived peaceful with their neighbours, the Cheetahs, but due the Cheetah’s distrust and mis blaming the dragons, they and the wolves are at odds one another and have isolated themselves from one another. The Wolf Village is also said to be Misterie’s birth place.
Everyone Has Standards:
- While the Wolves have every right to fear and resent Malefor for his evil, they find it unfair of the Cheetahs to distrust and blame the rest of their Dragons for their misfortune as well as being on uncomfortable terms with Hunter just because he only one to ally with the Dragons to battle Malefor’s forces.
- And it’s true they’re aware that Cynder had once served Malefor, they bare no ill feelings towards her when they learned that it was against her will back when she was Brainwashed and Crazy.
Fantastic Race Weapon Affinity: Similar to the Cheetahs, the Wolves specialise in archery, but they also use swords, daggers and bo staffs. Misterie is one exception since she uses her Magic Staff which turns into a bow and she also resorts to Cane Fu.
Foil:
- To the Cheetahs. Both people had lived peacefully with the dragons and hit a rough run-in with Malefor, the Cheetahs were quick to blame and mistrust the Dragons while the Wolves bare no ill will or grudges.
- Their chieftess to Cheif Prowlus. They are both The Leader of their villages and do everything they can to fend off Malefor’s forces from their homes. However, Prowlus is strict, leery, distrustful and resentful towards the dragons and seem to have an intense rivalry with Hunter, who went against his laws to join the Dragons to battle Malefor. The chieftess of the Wolf Village is much more welcoming, trustful, trusting towards the Dragons and gets on well with Misterie.
Noble Wolf: All of them.
We Used to be Friends: All they wish is reconciliation with their in estranged neighbours and for them to make peace with the Dragons again.
White Wolves Are Special: Their chieftess is a white wolf, The Leader and is basically the Big Good of their village.
I've never seen this older concept art of W.i.t.c.h before, I do prefer the wings they ended up getting but them having different wings is lowkey interesting
Wow, this is so interesting. Personally, I think their wings in the official design are better but it’s quite a cute concept the main characters would have different wings.
Pikachu’s Vacation (1998)
I really love the first Pokemon movie and this little mini movie before it was so cute and it was also quite a twist to see to be introduced to Snubbull before the Johto adventures in the anime and Gold and Silver games. Such a charming short film. 💕
Vaildor’s Family TV Tropes
Validor makes several mentions about his family throughout The Cuphead Show: Dreamstones Edition. He speaks highly about them, indicating that he has a happy life, growing up in a loving family.
Adult Fear: There had been times you still have some difficulties coping with your husband’s Ambiguous Situation during his absence, but the fact that your eldest son had been pulled into a rift and is Trapped in Another World can be most nerve wrecking with no means of getting in contact with him.
Big Brother Worship: Validor’s younger sisters adore him and always look up to him.
Daddy’s Girl: Although the two sisters loved both their parents equally, they are very close with their dad.
Dad’s Off Fighting in the War: Okay, so he’s not really in a war but Validor’s dad had gone off on an exploration expedition and has gone missing for a while.
Disappeared Dad: Validor’s father had gone missing during his exploration expedition and it’s left to be known if he’s dead or still alive.
Family Man: Vale’s father is very loyal and devoted to his mate and hatchlings.
Family Portrait of Characterization:
The Ghost: Subverted. Validor mentions them several times. The only thing close to them making a full appearance is a small portrait of Vale himself with his family in the cover of his compass.
Happily Married: Vale’s parents have always been in love and their bond had remained strong through the ages.
Good Parents: How else did Vale become the Nice Guy that he is today?
It Runs in the Family:
Like Father, Like Son: It’s implied that Validor takes after his dad in many was.
Mama Bear:
Papa Wolf: Vale’s dad is said to be a devoted father and is very protective and supportive of his children.
