I miss the BP era soo much its not even funny. BP2 cannot get here fast enough. I miss when the fandom was thriving and how excited black girls were to write so many fics for us and how we had this whole safe space just for us. I just miss the excitement of ppl waiting to see the movie or going to see it for a third time. It was just a time of black people being so fucking happy. I miss the think pieces and debates that were sparked over Killmonger's ideologies. I loved how people were so invested in Wakanda, a place where black people were free to be unapologetically black in a safe space without racism or struggle. Seeing little black boys and girls admiring people on the big screen who looked just like them. Just pure happiness. We didnt beg other people to see this movie bc we were going to support it regardless. It felt like nothing could touch us we were that fucking happy. It was just pure unadulterated happiness and support and I miss that.
