Tell yourself kinder truths.

Tell yourself kinder truths. You are not failing at life; you are reeling, sure, but you are succeeding at surviving.

KEEP MOVING.

i think love is revolutionary because when done right, it allows for accountability, for growth, for healing, for laughter, for joy, for connection, for touch, for coming home. maybe it is foolish of me, even a little stupid to think of it as such but when done right, when honoured, when fulfilled, when prepared and boiled and served well, it truly does magic, it truly changes lives, it nourishes, it feeds, it gives hope, hope, so much of it.

إِن يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرًا

If Allah knows there is anything good in your hearts,

يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِّمَّا أُخِذَ مِنكُمْ

He will give you better than that which has been taken away from you,

وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

And He will forgive you. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

— Surah Al-Anfal [8:70]

Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:

“Every person who holds himself to account due to his sins, [who] hates his sins, tries to remove them from himself and abandons them for Allāh’s sake, [then he] shall increase in integrity, piety, righteousness and forbearance.”

Majmū al-Fatāwa Ibn Taymiyyah, 10/767

The word ‘Taqwa’ means abstaining from Allāh's prohibitions

Sufyān ath-Thawri [رحمه الله] said:

“Nothing breaks the back of Iblees [Satan] more than the statement Lā ilāha illAllāh [None has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allāh].”

Siyar A’lām an-Nubalā’a, 7/260 | Al-Imām adh-Dhahabi [رحمه الله]

And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it, with the necessary effort due for it (i.e. do righteous deeds of Allah's Obedience) while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), then such are the ones whose striving shall be appreciated, thanked and rewarded (by Allah).

I completely disagree that everyone is replaceable. although you can replace a ‘role’ someone fills in your life, you can’t replicate the special connection you had with that person, their personality, the love, the memories. some people are irreplaceable and I find it gross how our generation acts like everyone is so disposable. you will never find lasting love or happiness treating people like toys you can throw away or lose and replace with a shiny new one like it’s nothing.
